SunClan & ShadowClan Border

Wandering up not long after Blackwidows departure the frosty female looked across the border towards the Sunclan Mountains wondering how they could live in such an extreme environment. The snows touched there first and left last, she at least could admire the warriors there, they'd be strong from clambering up and down slopes all the time and tough paw pads from all the sharp rock slopes. Everything was so different from when she'd been a youngster, she felt so cold and distant from everyone like she was on the moon and everyone else was stuck in the territories, from the moon she had such a magnificent birds eye view of it all. The red young warrior blinked her brown eyes thinking to herself, she missed her father even though she'd broken him by rejecting him. The cold icey feeling was so complicated, and she was running out of ways to explain it, without Minkfur as her friend she felt very much a loner in the middle of the pack. She felt very backed against the wall with nothing left to loose, she didn't really want to return to the camp and so remained sitting staring out at the distant mountains trying to make sense of the cold that was being pumped around her body by her treacherous heart.

Nightstar followed Bramblerose's scent with his nose low to the ground until he saw her ahead and he slowed from his swift trot to a gentle pad until he reached her side. He sat down beside her and looked up at the mountains that housed sunclan. "Its a very different life up there." he said conversationally. His brown pelt rippled with his breathing creating a shimmering affect over his pelt. His green eyes left it to look at the red female and blinked at her. "Antpaw needs a new mentor. I want you to take her on." he told her bluntly. "Do you believe you are ready for an apprentice?"

Looking back as she heard pawsteps her features were hard and cold showing nothing which mirrored the dark emptiness inside of her. Listening to his blunt words she had to restrain a snort, "Yes" she retorted just as bluntly getting up she checked the sun and stretched she didn't really want to return to camp but if Nightstar was going to hang around then she'd return to camp. Dipping her head knowing it was required of her, Bramblerose brushed past him, not close with anyone within the clan she began to head back towards camp. What was the point of even remaining in the clan these days? Nothing kept her here, she felt so empty like a hollow shell where once upon a time there had been a bright happy pup. She took the long way back to camp, letting her tail bump against her heels on the way home, sniffing at a few interesting scents she very slowly made her way back, brushing through bushes and shrubs not caring if she spooked prey as from what she'd seen that morning there had been plenty of fresh kill on the pile to have.

He stood at Brambleroses agreement and gave her a nod. "Then I shall hold the ceremony at sun down." he informed her as she went to walk away. He remained there as the female left the border before he turned his attention to the other side of the territory. Thunderclan border was a winding line around large tree trunks and fallen logs. Perhaps he could edge over into their territory and make it more straight. Shaking his thick pelt out the large scared brute took off to inspect the border.

She'd kept a slow canter so that the apprentice with his shorter legs could keep up, slowing down to a trot and then a walk as they reached the border she shot Galepaw an approving look when he was able to control himself fairly well. He was't vibrating everywhere at least, the strong scents on the other side of her border told her shadowclan had patrolled the border that morning. Looking at Galepaw she spoke to him again this time with a gentler voice "Take a good whiff Galepaw, you can smell the Shadowclan scent on the border, see that tree over there thats where we put one of our scent markers along the border, go mark it while Pinedusk and I do the others" she ordered him giving him a kind look before she padded over to the large lichen covered rock and scent marked it keeping an ear out for anymore shadowclan wolves. Wondering how the hunting patrol was going the long haired she wolf who was subtly going grey moved onto the next scent marker and renewed it.

Galepaws sudes were heaving by the time they reached the border and he sat down sharply beside Willowmists left side. "They stink." He told the female when she spoke telling him that the new marshy smell was Shadowclans. His little muzzle wrinkled at the thought of smelling like that all the time. He bouncedto his paws with eargerly pricked ears when he was given a spot to mark on his own and he nodded to Pinedusk when the brute said to tell them if he smelt anything unusal. He raced over to the tree to leave a fresh marker then woth his nkse to the ground and tail in the air the tiny apprentice scurried back to the two warriors sides.

After Pinedusk had finished with his markers she met with him and to her relief neither of them had found anything to suggest that Shadowclan was going to try and push its borders out. none of the clans could afford a brawl right now especially with the clan numbers low when it was the height of green-leaf she swished her tail about her ankles her thoughts drifting to Riverstar and Stoatblaze. Both were wolves she worried about, but she brought herself back to the present as worrying about either would not help matters here and now. For now they should head to the windclan border and check all was well, she had high hopes for Larkstar although she'd been part of the patrol that'd gotten into a scuffle with Sunclan warriors she believed that plenty of their clan were to blame for it as well. Humming to herself a brief moment she called out for galepaw "Come on Galepaw time to get going" once he and Pinedusk were ready the senior warrior lead the way towards the next border looking forward to getting back to camp and talking to Riverstar again.

Galepaw popped out from under the bush he had been sniffing at and nearly slammed into Pinedusks side. "Oops sorry Pinedusk." He chirped as he slipped under the large brutes belly to reach Willowmists side. "Im here." His body wriggled in place slightly as he waited for the senior warrior to start leading the way. When she did his paws took him bolting after her like a tiny blur as he kept on her heels though still far enough back not to get under paw.

Tigerstorm made her way to the border and wrinkled her muzzle in disgust at the stench of Sunclan. The bulky female placed her nose to the ground and sniffed around to ensure that none of the other clan had crossed onto their side of the border when she picked up the scent of a loner. Growling the warrior followed the scent trail to an abandoned rabbits hole where the trail was fresh like whoever it was that was on her clans territory was down there. "Come out come out wherever you are." she called out her muzzle right above the hole so it echoed down it.

Her eyes rolled as the sounds of digging reached her ears until claws hit rock and she stifled her laughter. A sneer rolled onto her muzzle as a small dog stuck its head into the open and begged for her to let it go. Standing tall the striped female scoffed at how pathetic it looked and took a step closer lowering her head. ”Next time runt I won’t let you go. Now get off my clans land and out of my sight you pathetic waste of space.” she spat out with a growl. She followed the tiny thing until she was off Shadowclans territory before continuing her patrol.

The senior warrior's thick cream coat protected her from the worst of the snows cold, her particular species of wolf was born and bred for mountains and thus Sunclans treacherous land was natural to her. She'd been sure to take her time since they had a young apprentice with them, picking the path that was the safest and with the least amount of snow so that Stormpaw wouldn't get too tired since she'd already been out once today. Worried about the clans lack of Deputy and Riverstars stubborn resistance to picking another one, Willowmist pushed those thoughts out of her head she'd talk with Heatherfrost about it later on. Walking down to the border, she noticed Tigerstorm immediately and greeted her with a smile despite intensely disliking the striped bully. "Greetings Tigerstorm, I trust Shadowclan is doing well" ever the diplomat she patiently waited for the warriors reply whilst waiting for Stormpaw, Rainheart and Jaspercloud to show up. Her long thick fur acted as insulation against the cold trapping her body heat and keeping the lightly falling snow away from her skin. Getting the feeling she was being watched, she glanced about and spotted the only place someone could hide around here which was a large rather shaggy bush. Eyeing it warily she quickly returned her attention to Tigerstorm not wishing to come across as rude, serene and unmoved by the world around her, the creamy senior warrior waited patiently as if she had all the time in the world.

Her pelt pricked at the sensation of eyes on her but before she could investigate sunclan wolves appeared. Her green eyes, hard and cold, landed on Willowmist as she greeted her with a smile. ”Willowmist.” she replied with a sharp nod, ”Shadowclan is thriving. I hope Sunclan can say the same.” Her head tilted towards the bush letting the sun on female know she was going to attend to its hidden threat. Her rugged striped pelt rustled as she turned her attention towards the bush with a low growl as she padded over to it. ”Why don’t you come out trespasser.” she spat keeping back just enough so she couldn’t be attacked without whoever was inside had come out.
