PostSubject: SunClan Camp   SunClan Camp I_icon_minitimeMon Jul 24, 2017 12:25 am

Located near Dried River, it stands on a cliff like area. Inside there is a cave with tunnels. The Elders, Deputy, Warriors, Queens(+pups), Medicine wolf, Apprentices, Deputy and Leader all have separate dens down different tunnels. The Leader's den, however, is outside the cave in a Separate Cave that you need to climb to get to; it is a little above the main Clan camp's entrance. The Leader typically holds meetings from a lightly lower ledge under their den.

Humming to herself a tune she'd made up that she did not yet know the words to, the pretty medicine wolf trotted into camp carrying her tail above her paws with a slight curl in its tip. Slowing to a walk as she entered the cave, she smiled to herself Really we should be called Caveclan not Sunclan giggling through her mouthful of herbs at the thought she entered the cool tunnel that made up the medicine den and her nest. Squeezing through the tight gap that lead to where the herbs were kept she filed the coltsfoot and comfrey root away and once she was satisfied with her herb stash she picked out some borage leaves. Gentleheart had been nursing pups, she'd been eating well but Sunheart was a little concerned about the females milk supply which was why she had the borage ready. Holding it in her jaws lightly she squeezed out of the store back into the medicine den and stepped past her nest and the few empty nest for sick or unhealthy wolves. Stepping out into the main cave of the camp she turned her paws towards the nursery and soon arrived there, entering her gaze was drawn to Mistypup and Peachpup the two small pups that belonged to Ashfall. They were healthy, the female seemed happy although the male appeared rather grumpy, amused at that she greeted Gentleheart softly "Hi Gentleheart, how are they doing? I brought this for you" not feeling the need to go into details as to why the ex leader needed it she set it down near her and quietly went over the pups wanting to make sure that they were healthy. Finding they all were she checked to see if the nursing queen had eaten the borage, finding she had Sunheart gave her one of her warm sunny smiles and went to leave the mother in peace.

Gentleheart smiled down at her pups. She had given birth to them shortly before stormclan became two clans once more. And she had stepped down from the position of leader in order to raise her pups. She looked up when the scent of the medicine wolf filled her nose. She looked to have some leaves in her mouth which she could only assume that it was something to help her milk come. She had noticed earlier that her milk was drying up and it was hard for her pups to feed. Though in a few months time they would be weaned off of milk to start eating fresh kill. She smiled softly at Sunheart, "thank you Sunheart." she watched her check over her pups and then leave the den. She turned to her youngest pup Pebblepup, "where do you think your father ran off too, huh Pebble," she said while taking her paw and tickling the little one.

The small pup had slept soundly, curled in a fetal position on her side with her tail fluffed over her face. She was quite a little thing to begin with, but in this way she appeared even smaller, more delicate. Her ears twitched while she slept, her chest rising and falling in a serene manner. She looked completely undisturbed until a certain voice brought her back into reality.
Pebblepup opened her eyes, startled by the sound of another wolf. She raised her head, then sat up, staring her large puppy blue eyes at the strange she-wolf who spoke to her mother. "Her scent is familiar." She then realized that the wolf had checked on her mother before, and watched as she sat down some odd looking leaves. Pebblepup said nothing, backing more into her mother's warm scruff, feeling some momentary comfort. The pup had little fondness for strangers, and this wolf was no exception. She blinked as the she-wolf then padded away, but still snuggled close to Gentleheart. Her mother now spoke to her, and Pebble turned up at her with wide eyes. She could speak, but she preferred not to, tilting her head to her mother's voice. Gentleheart then affectionately tickled her with her paw. Pebblepup giggled playfully, rolling onto her back and mouthing the she-wolf's paw in a comical manner.

The red-furred warrior padded back into the camp, the rabbit he had caught earlier hanging from his jaws. He started down the tunnel that lead to the nursery, passing by Sunheart on the way there. He nodded to the medicine wolf in greeting before continuing on his way. He stopped besides Gentleheart and their pups, setting the rabbit down besides her. "Good morning, Gentleheart. I caught this for you," he said. He smiled at the sight of their daughter playing with Gentleheart, and affectionately nuzzled both Pebblepup and Lightningpup. "Good morning," he told them warmly. Shifting his attention back to Gentleheart, he then added; "Do you need anything else? If you don't like the rabbit I can go catch something else, or if you want some water I can go fetch some moss." His worry for Gentleheart was evident on his face.

Galepaw trotted back into camp with his small jaw full of dry moss for Gentleheart and her pups nest down in the nursery. The dark brute was not long out of his pup stage having only a few days before Gentlehearts birthing moved to the apprentice den. Hitting the bottom he edged around Pinedusk and closer to Gentle carefully placing the large ball down panting. "Hi Gentleheart. I brought you fresh moss for your nest." he told her puffing out his small chest. His dotted sides were heaving from the struggle he had faced as the moss ball was almost as big as his head but his bright blue eyes shone with pride at his accomplishment.

The brightly coloured pup woke up from his nap by the sound of loud clumsy paws stomping into his nursery, speaking and then stomping back out. Hoping he might get back to sleep he kept his puppy blue eyes closed until two more pawsets of stomping paws entered causing him to open his gaze with disgruntlement and openly glare at the two males who were making all the blasted noise."Will you shut your traps! Some of us are trying to sleep you inconsiderate gargoyles" the rather articulate and bad tempered pup curled himself up tighter continuing to glare at the pair of them. He'd lost his mother and all of his siblings aside from Mistypup, which hadn't added to the crosspatches temper. He appeared to have a hatred of the world and very determined to see the world half empty, besides what was the point of being alive? To hunt, Sleep, eat, drink and repeat a meaningless existence until you died, of course idiots believed that the warrior code gave them a purpose to life but in reality it was a sham. Life was nothing, all he could hear was the darkness of the void whispering to him, starclan didn't get any worship from him either, they'd allowed his family to die apart from his father. He despised them for it, named peachpup by Speckledfrost as he was a very fuzzy puppy he was anything but sweet. All he wanted right now was to try and get some sleep as he'd been up far too late last night thinking about the inevitability of death and how it was slowly coming for all of them, he could almost hear a clock ticking down the seconds until he died. Instead of that motivating him to do anything it drained him of energy, they were all going to die meaningless deaths what was the point of fighting and living? Angry when the two males showed no signs of leaving he growled softly how much was it to ask just to have some peace and quiet? Stupid inconsiderate fools.

Snuggled into her surviving brother his words and growl roused her from her sleep, lifting her head, the fur on her left cheek was squashed flat from her sleeping on that side. The grey pup sat up and yawned luxuriously before nudging her brother affectionately, he was her only brother and thus she protected him. Listening to what was going on she ran her tongue over her brothers ear and lay back down comfortably, sensing when his mood turned black she pushed him over and sat on him smirking down at him. "Come on you puny weakling, get your brain out of the hole" it was how she described the black existentialism and depression her brother oft fell into. Although she had to agree that there were too mahy non pups and queens in the nursery, Pinedusk was alright he was visiting his mate, wondering if their father would bring something for them she got up off of her brother and stepped out of the nest. She and her brother had been weaned a few weeks early due to the disappearance of  her brothers, sister and mother. She just assumed that they'd abandoned her and thus was far more possessive of her little brother than she'd been before they'd lost their family. Ashfall their father had visited every day when SPecklefrost had been there, now he visited every few days but it was clear to her that he was heartbroken. The pain of what he was going through and what she and her brother were going through cementing an idea that she'd never take a mate or have pups, it would just get you hurt. Her puppy blue eyes were starting to get a yellow tinge, the same colour as her mothers eyes, looking over at Gentleheart and Pebblepup she kept her sarcastic words to herself and instead batted at her brothers ear, she'd go find something for them to eat off of the fresh kill pile.

Peeking out of the nursery she didn't see her father around and so assumed that he was out of camp hunting or something. Slipping over to the fresh kill pile she slunk around it searching for something they both liked, picking a rabbit she grabbed it in her jaws. yanking it out of the pile she carried it as best as she could enjoying the strain of her muscles as it meant she was getting stronger. Returning to the Nursery she dumped the bunny infrot of her brother and narrowed her eyes at him until he began eating

At hearing the voice of her father, Pebble turned and smiled. "Daddy!" She yipped, her tail wagging. She watched with curiosity the rabbit he set down, tilting her head. She was too young to appreciate solid food, and turned her nose away. She was quite happy to see her father though, and hoped he would stay a little longer, as he was always out of the nursery doing adult wolf stuff. "Where does he go? Why can't he always stay here like mommy?" Pebblepup had briefly been out of the nursery only one time, and one time was plenty to her. There were too many wolves and too many smells and sounds out there. It was much better in here, where there was less noise and less intrusions.
Another wolf padded in, smaller then the adults but bigger then her. Pebblepup put her ears down and backed into her mother's scruff again, watching the newcomer with weariness. He carried bedding material,  and Pebble briefly wondered where such stuff comes from. One of the pups, Peachpup, reacted angrily to the male, but Pebblepup said nothing. She leaned against Gentleheart and curled her tail around her paws.

The young pup was awoken by the sound of another wolf speaking. "Mmph," he grumbled, upset that he had been taken out of his dreams. "Why'd you have to wake me up?" Lightningpup said, half to himself, as he glanced up at the wolf who smelled like plants. She had dropped something strange in front of his mother. He sniffed it curiously; it had a rather weird smell, but didn't smell too bad. The plant-wolf left as soon as his mother ate the leaves; Lightningpup tilted his head with confusion. Leaves were edible? His nose wrinkled with disgust, wondering how his mother could stand to eat such a strange thing.

Lightningpup glanced at his sister as their mother tickled her; the pup himself gently tugged on Gentleheart's ear, growling playfully, before he heard pawsteps approaching. To his happiness, he saw his father walk into the nursery. The red-furred warrior had set down a rabbit, which Lightningpup sniffed at. "I want to try it!" he said eagerly; he'd never tasted real prey before. He was too young to eat it, but that didn't stop his interest. His enthusiasm died down, however, as Pinedusk nuzzled him, ruffling his fur in the process. "Hey, stop that! You're messing up my fur!" he protested, rubbing a paw over his head. He then turned to the den entrance as Galepaw brought in a huge moss ball, and wagged his tail. "Can I play with that?" he asked. He gave a sideways glance at Peachpup's snappy words, but ignored him and instead looked back to his sister when he realized she was feeling uncomfortable. "It's okay, Pebblepup," he said, trying to make her feel better. Afterwards, he looked back at the his parents and Galepaw, waiting to hear what any of them would say.

Galepaw rolled his eyes at Peachpups grumpy words and ignored the pup who had been grumpy even when he had been in the nursery. "Greetings Peachpup and Mistypup." he said giving them a nod. He smiled at Lightningpup and nudged the large moss ball towards him. "You can play with it so as long your mum lets you." he replied with a tail wag. Deciding that there was too many wolves in the small den he dipped his head to Gentleheart and scrambled back up the tunnel and out into the camps clearing before bouncing away out of the way to sit in the sun where he started to clean his pelt while waiting for his mentor to come out.

Upon seeing Pinedusk and the rabbit he had for her she licked his muzzle. "Thank you love, and no the rabbit is fine thank you." she said before she noticed Galepaw enter the nursery and how he brought he moss. "why thank you Galepaw that was very kind of you." hearing her son Lightningpup say he wanted to try some of the rabbit, Gentleheart laughed. "when you are a bit older. You are still too young to have fresh kill." she smiled at the interaction between father and son. She then licked Lightningpups fur back in order. Hearing the other pups she just shook her head. It was almost time for them to be apprentices, and she couldn't wait. They seemed to be nothing but negative. Seeing that Pebblepup was upset she nuzzled her daughter. "it alright Pebble, nothing will happen. Your father, brother, and I. Are right here." she said trying to comfort her gentle and shy pup. When Lightningpup asked to play with the moss ball, she nodded. "you and your sister can play with it, but be careful to not disturb the other pups." she told them. She then turned to her mate. "everything quiet out there?"

Grateful when Mistypup spoke to him he managed to nod and tried to rescue himself from the blackness, she left him and he remained sitting there wondering if she'd come back. This time she did and it was with prey, she'd become more of his mother now since none of the other queens in the nursery had wanted to take care of them when their mother and siblings had vanished. Trying to eat he found most of the mouthfuls stuck in his throat, making himself swallow he couldn't eat anymore and watched as his sister ate most of the meal. Unhappy and wanting his mother, real mother that was he spoke thickly "Mistypup...." inching around to her he hid his face in her fur, why had their mother left them both? Why hadn't she taken them with their brothers?? He'd tried so hard to good for her, trying to make himself as small as possible he attempted to keep his thick oily tears to himself. He couldn't help the way he was, no one listened to you if you were nice and if you were nice you just got hurt, it was easier to be grumpy preferable to be grumpy. That way you didn't set yourself up for failure and pain, "Miss mum mistypup, why'd she leave us?" his strong sister had always been there for him. Sure he didn't meet her criteria for strength but with their father heartbroken and away on his own alot they were all they had. It was so cold at night without their siblings and mother, and he dreamed of them walking away and vanishing with him unable to follow them. He hated himself for giving into the weakness with others around, so he hid his bright fur as best as he could. Keeping his sobs silent, usually this happened at night with everyone asleep, but against his will it'd slipped out during the day. Feeling his sister lick his bright fur he could pretend it was Specklefrost and thus his silent tears soon stopped, the small pup falling asleep with his face buried in her blue-grey fur.

Watching her brother eat only when he'd begun did she start eating however she soon felt him press into her side. Abandoning the rabbit she flattened her ears hurting as well when he spoke, the tough pup who normally had no time for weakness gently ran her tongue over his head. There wasn't anything else they could do, in her opinion they'd been lucky to not have been made apprentice as soon as Specklefrost left. With each day that passed since she'd abandoned them the female became more bitter towards her mother, continuing to groom her brother she didn't reply to his soft muffled words having no real reply to them. Once his breathing told her he was fast asleep she resumed eating knowing she had to keep herself strong, her fierce gaze flicked to the other wolves in the nursery. Gentlehearts pups were so weak, they had no idea what life was really like, like she and peachpup did, snorting once she turned her head around to nuzzle into her brother gently. Their father wasn't of much use to them either as he had been broken by the disappearance, spitefully hoping her mother had fallen down a gorge or a ravine and perished she polished off the rabbit and idly cleaned up the bones so she could save them for later and try to encourage peachpup to play so he could build up his muscles and become strong like her. Sunheart would be coming back soon to check on them, the gentle she wolf had been checking in on them every day as they' been weaned before they should have.

Following Willowmist back into the camp, Riverstar took a few moments to survey what was going on, taking in all the activities before he'd make any more decisions. It looked like everyone seemed to be awake, which was good, it meant he didn't have to chase anyone down if he wanted them. Spotting Galepaw sitting in the sun, he headed over to the youngster first before finding the older warriors. it would give the little one more time to get his head around what he was being asked to do. “Galepaw, you're going to join Willowmist and Pinedusk on a border patrol. Don't forget to listen to them.” Nudging the pup gently, he turned after waiting for affirmation and went in search of the other older wolves. Finding Willowmist again, he paused by her. “Can you find Pinedusk and head out? Galepaw knows already. I'm sure Oakstream and Stoatblaze are hanging around here somewhere.”

Moving a little stiffly she returned to camp alongside Riverstar, remembering that devilsclaw helped with joint issues she told herself she'd grab some from Sunheart when she got back from the patrol. Glancing around the camp she smiled kindly at Galepaw, the apprentice was doing quite well the lad was good hearted and tried his best. Padding over to stand next to Riverstar, Willowmist spoke "Ready to help an old lady out Galepaw?" She asked in a teasing tone of voice, she was older yes but she loved being a warrior too much to become an elder just yet. She hadn't learnt everything there was to learn, hadn't seen everything and in that way she was exactly like an apprentice herself. Looking about for Pinedusk she paused not seeing him then remembered that he must be in the Nursery, which was why she'd suggested him. A good border patrol would give Gentleheart some breathing room and give the male a chance to think of something else "Galepaw could you go bring Pinedusk here for me? Thank you" older and serene she had aged gracefully the grey that had taken over her muzzle hard to see against her creamy fur in the first place while her brown eyes glittered with kindness.

Remembering that she'd not checked on Peachpup or Mistypup she popped her head back in to see Mistypup comforting her brother. Her features lost their usual smile, entering the den properly she moved over to them and after inspecting them both and making sure that they were all as healthy as they could be, Sunheart moved over to Gentleheart and murmured softly into her ear "Gentleheart could I trouble you for a moment in my den? I would like to talk to you" speaking with her usual gentle and good natured tones, once Sunheart had the nod of affirmation she moved out of the den and lead the way into her herb scented den. Once inside she sat down and sighed softly a troubled look flicking onto her features, "I know Peachpup and Mistypup are a trouble to handle Gentleheart, Ever since Specklefrost and their siblings vanished they've had it rough. They are the way they are because of how they're dealing with whats happened to them" pausing to take a breath she fixed her kind gentle eyes on the nursing mother "I was hoping that you might take them under your wing and act as a mother to them, I'm forbidden to be a mother otherwise I would have" she wouldn't force Gentleheart into it she was well aware that the female had lost some of her own pups and didn't want her to feel like they were to replace them, she didn't even really now if the two pups would accept her or not but she felt she had to try. Giving Gentleheart a nod and one of her smiles she added "You don't need to give me an answer head back to your little ones" turning she squeezed into her herb store and began counting herbs rechecking what ones she needed to stock up on before the snows fell and turned all of the plants dormant until the new leaf warmth melted it all. She had plenty of catnip at least, most of the wolves in the clan seemed healthy, but she'd collect some more herbs for soothing joints as she remembered Willowmist the year before had struggled a little with stiffness in her joints. While planning for the clan her thoughts turned to the pups and a familiar pain claimed her heart, while she felt that being a medicine wolf was her calling when she watched the way Pinedusk and Gentleheart looked at one another there was a selfish part of her that wanted that too. She wanted to be loved like that, she wanted to feel puppies growing inside of her and to watch them grow and come into their own within the clan. In the same breath she felt lucky, seeing how devastated Ashfall was over the loss of his mate and Gentlehearts and Pinedusks pain when a couple of their pups were either still born or died after birth. Not to mention Stoatblaze who's all but one of his pups were gone. There was no one she felt she could really talk to about it, except perhaps her aunt Willowmist. However she didn't want to trouble the senior warrior and so she'd held her tongue, sighing quietly she stared at the herbs. Thankful and yet curing them all in one breath, if it hadn't been for the medicinal knowledge, more would have died and yet if she hadn't been a medicine wolf she would have been allowed to fall in love and find a mate. Shaking her head when she discovered she was going around in circles in her head, she forced herself to focus on the herbs and the herbs only.

Pinedusk glanced over at Galepaw when the apprentice carried in a large moss ball for Gentleheart and the pups. That's thoughtful of him, the red warrior thought. He flicked his ears at Peachpup's snappy words but otherwise said nothing, turning his attention back to Gentleheart and their pups. "Hey, Pebble," Pinedusk said with a smile upon hearing her. He then glanced back to Lightningpup, adding, "Sorry about that." He was amused by his son's eagerness to try the rabbit, but he was too young, as Gentleheart said. "I'm glad you like the rabbit," Pinedusk said to Gentleheart, touching his nose to her ear affectionately. "I didn't notice anything other than some stale fox scent. It seems that everything's safe for now." Pinedusk was quite thankful that war hadn't broken out between SunClan and WindClan, save for the border skirmish. It had seemed inevitable at one point. He didn't want to think about what would have happened had war broken out, or how many lives would have been lost.

His honey brown eyes shifted to the den entrance as Sunheart came back, this time apparently to check up on Peachpup and Mistypup. He frowned as he looked at the two of them, knowing that they had lost their mother. Even though he'd lost his mother as well, he didn't fully understand how the pups must have felt, for he'd never known Moonwhisper. He looked back towards his own family—Gentleheart had gone at this point, presumably somewhere with Sunheart—and made a silent promise that he'd never leave them.

Pebble watched as the apprentice set the moss ball down, and was quite happier when he left the nursery. She looked at Lightningpup, her brother being the only pup around that she really spent time with. Not only was meeting new wolves difficult for the young one, but the other two pups, Mistypup and Peachpup weren't exactly the most friendliest of wolves around.
The wolf smelling of herbs entered the den, calling away her mother. Pebblepup sat up as her mother moved, the air feeling more cool without Gentleheart's warm body heat. The pup then scooted closer to Lightningpup, happy to be next to him. He had asked their mother if they could play moss ball, and Pebblepup smiled, thinking that it sounded like fun. She poked the moss ball with her paw gingerly, but waited for her brother to make the first move.

Stoatblaze was sitting by the sides of the cave SunClan had made their home in. He had woken up rather early that day but hadn't found anything to do, so instead he'd been left with his thoughts. How quickly things had changed during the course of his life. SunClan and StormClan had formed. He'd left his birth-Clan to join SunClan when he was only an apprentice, not wanting to be apart from the then Ripplepaw. And now, RiverClan and ShadowClan had reformed. It was strange to think that he'd been a member of SunClan for many more moons than he had RiverClan. But he supposed that the current RiverClan was nothing like the one he knew. Graystar was the only member in the present RiverClan who'd once been his Clanmate.

He was taken out of his thoughts by the mention of his name, and his dark blue eyes turned to Riverstar. "Did you call for me?" he asked as he walked over to the SunClan leader. He figured it must have been for a patrol of some sort, either a hunting or border one. A patrol would be good. He hadn't been out of the camp for awhile and was getting a bit bored.
