Gray's Beach 34310858894_a6ae8f5605_k

Located just a few miles down from Tempest's Cavern, there is a small beach. At low tide there are rockpools to explore and shellfish to investigate, not to mention pretty shells to collect. Throughout the year the Beach is visited by penguins and occasionally seals who wish to take advantage of the penguin population. Depending on the day the waves can be calm enough for a swim, but beware, a little behind the breaker waves are dangerous rips that can carry a wolf back out to sea if they're not careful.

Finally she'd made it here, stumbling along the worn path and onto the dry sand that was hard to walk through a grin spread over her muzzle and a giggle escaped her this was fun! Claire struggled forward and finally made it onto sand that was a bit easier to walk on, spotting something sticking out of the somewhat damp sand the black pup lowered her head and sniffed it before pulling it out with her teeth. The taste of sand filled her mouth making her spit it back out before gasping as she understood what it was "A ssshelll!" finding the word a little difficult she drew it out to try and get the pronunciation right. It was a pretty purple shell, pointy at one end, it reminded her of a unicorns horn, her dad had told her some stories about those wonderful horned horses a couple of moons ago. Deciding she'd keep it she picked it up again, carefully this time as she didn't like the taste of the sand and scurried along until she found a place near the dry land to place it. An idea flickered into her mind, she'd make a nest-treasure trove of the pretty things, quite pleased with this idea she scampered down to continue looking for pretty shells that she could collect.

Following the little pawprints and the young one's scent, Killian padded along the beach, glancing towards the sea for a moment. Spotting the black pup, he carried on towards her, and snuck up on her, nudging her playfully to send her bowling along the sand a few paces. “What have you found, cheeky?” Swiping his tongue over her, he cleaned some of the sand off her pelt, and tilted his head. “Had some hunting lessons with your dad, have you?”

Shrieking and then giggling as she was knocked bowling by killian she got up onto her paws wagging her slip of a tail "Dad! I found sh-shellsh! Dad did teach me quite a bit about hunting! What are you gonna teash me?" forgetting about her small collection of shells for now the young pup was far more interested in learning about what the shadowy black wolf could teach her. Her eyes had lost their blue pup colour a few moons ago replaced with an attractive green colour. Bouncing around the big black wolf, the little wolf couldn't help her giggling, she loved her black furred father as much as she loved her brown one. She was all legs at the moment, with big paws fixed at the end, she'd grown quite a bit since she'd last seen him as well, her now smooth sleek fur shiny and healthy thanks to the care of Julian.

Amused as her bouncing, the black killer sat in the sand, watching the small female. When she finally settled down, he spoke calmly. “Good, that means I don't have to.” He wasn't really the best teacher of how not to kill opponents. It was so handy her having the other dog teaching her how to survive hunting wise. It made things so much easier that he could teach her how to fight and defend herself. “We're finished here near the water. You know how to come here now, come back when you want. This way.” Batting at her fondly, the lean male padded back along the beach. He knew of a place where she could practise her pouncing on him, and how to blend in with the mist and the shadows to try and pin point him. Keeping an eye on her as she followed him and amused herself, he made his usual silent way through the lands, not caring about all scent markers that he was ignoring.

Finally sitting still she listened intently as her dad spoke, really she was lucky that she had two dads most wolves only had one! Her tail wagged still brushing against the sand and getting all sandy, visibly drooping when the sleek male mentioned that they were finished with the water she made a silent promise with herself to visit back here as often as possible as it was shaping up to be one of her favourite place. Ducking under his bat at her, Claire sighed and picked up her favourite shell out of her collection and darted after him often pausing to investigate interesting scents, the pup rather independent. She stopped quite a few times, as they were going somewhere she'd never been before, completely unaware that anything was wrong with the sun or that the tide had suddenly drained low, the pup was happy trailing after her father. Quite keen to learn what else there was for her to learn next, she wanted to be a great fighter like he was, the black wolf was very fond of both of her fathers and admired them both. They both had traits that she wanted and so she did her very best to live up to them both.

Padding back along the sandy beach, the fighter eyed the low tide, uncertain about the sudden lack of water. Still, Claire enjoyed being here for some reason, and so he sat on the warm sand, not bothered really by the lack of proper sunlight. Strange things happened all the time in his life, and this wasn't going to be much different. Yawning, he kept watch over the little pup, half snoozing, and kept an ear out for anyone else who might be around to try and take them on. He wasn't worried about defending himself, but Claire was still learning how to fight properly, and as much as it would be a good way to practice, it probably wouldn't end well. Watching her scamper around and collect shells, he rested his head on his paws, shaking his floppy ear out of his vision, and gave a sigh. For now, he was content, though he'd soon be on his way to wandering again.

Following her father, the pup was quite happy when they returned to the beach, splashing forward into the waves the black pup wagged her tail fiercely playing with the waves and forgetting that Killian was there all together. Squeaking with laughter she dashed back up the beach before a wave could catch her, shaking out her thick fur the well built female remembered her stash of shells and soon found them where she’d hidden them. Remembering she’d wanted to explore the beach when the tide was out as it was now, Claire darted off again. Discovering the rockpools she was entranced by the tiny worlds living in the pools of water left behind when the sea went out, batting at a hermit crab playfully she sent it skittering over the rocks. Ending up with a starfish attached to her paw, the pup wriggled her leg until it came off, she loved the smell of the sand and the surf, it was where she felt the most at home. Finally remembering that her Father was there, Claire jumped off the rocks and landed in a pile on the soft sand before galloping goofily over to him and skidding to a halt “Hi dad!” she greeted the dark dog-wolf mix as if he’d only just shown up instead of her father having been the entire time and a witness to her playing and enjoying herself.

Watching her play in the sand and the sea, the jaded black male rested his muzzle on his paws, content in the sun. Now that it was back again, and the sea was back to normal, the pup could do what she wanted without fear. Not while he was around. He’d spoken the truth when chatting to Steel – the fighting ring was no place at all for a pup. He’d managed to get the little pup out without alerting the two legs, using his love of the shadows to his advantage. Yawning, he enjoyed the sun as it warmed his pelt, easing the itch of his multitude of scars. He was almost asleep when she bounded over, and he opened one eye to study her. “Amusing yourself, kid?” Stretching, he reached out a paw intending to swipe hers out from under her, checking to see if she was still alert and aware of everything as he’d taught her. Pleased when she avoided it and pounced on him in return, he nuzzled her gently and watched as she wandered off again. It didn't bother him how independent she was - it was a good thing, and meant that she'd be able to take care of herself. Unwilling to move from the warm sun, he went back to basking, looking to all intents and purposes deeply asleep, though in reality he was merely dozing, keeping a sharp ear out for anyone who might try to sneak up on him.

Waltzing up without a care in the world and without bothering to check over her shoulder, the dappled sleek she-wolf who's outlines were faintly black and blurry hinting she was more than she appeared spotted the familiar form of the wolf she'd watched from the forest for so long. Striding up to him calmly and stopping, with a flick of her eyes over him it was rather clear to him that he was dozing "Time to look alive Shadow, you have an apprentice who wishes to learn the ways of fighting like a master" there was little doubt in her mind that he'd help out, after all she'd observed him enough to know he'd train those he thought were worthy and Lion appeared to have potential. Of course she'd have to learn how to control herself and her rage, to use it when it best suited her so she was no longer constantly rash, but that would come with time, first of all she'd learn to fight and then she herself would take over. Mental training would take a while but by the time she was finished, Lion would be a force to be reckoned with, a powerful piece in the game that Eclipsestar had started.

Half wondering where his other adopted pup had vanished off to, his old fighting name drew him out of his doze, and he flicked an eye open to watch the strange she-wolf. Yawning, he didn't bother to reply for a while, studying the clumsy bright orange pup who'd come along behind. “She'll have to prove herself before I consider it,” he said bluntly, quite content in the sun. From the use of his name, it was clear that the shadowy one knew who he was, so she wouldn't be like to attack him, and the pup would be all too easy to defeat if she considered being stupid and attacking a fighting wolf. Flicking his tail in the warm sand, he closed his eyes again and settled back to dozing. Perhaps he'd take the flame on, perhaps he wouldn't. It all depended on what she did next.

Lion trailed behind the unknown she-wolf, her head held high yet her eyes easily showing her wariness. Was it foolish to follow this wolf? What if she was leading her to an ambush of some sorts? A group of wolves seeking revenge against the murders she's committed? However, the female's words were just too sweet to simply refuse. Lion knew she needed to train- her victims were all caught off guard, or were too weak to fight back against the well-muscled and sharp-fanged young rogue. If she was to fight a grown warrior, or a more experienced fighter, she wouldn't make it out victorious unless luck was on her side. The thought of failure daunted Lion, it was one of her only fears. So, even with the risk, she took the chance and remained behind the mysterious wolf.
As they reached the river, Lion's orange eyes fixed on the black male ahead. An ear slightly swiveled, and she glanced towards the she-wolf who led her there in curiosity. Was he who she had mentioned...? She turned her gaze back towards the male, listening as he replied to the she-wolf. Lion curled her lip slightly, and she tilted her head. "Prove myself? Prove myself how?" she grunted. Would she need to go kill another wolf? Show off the fighting skills she had picked up so far? Lion wasn't thrilled at doing such a thing, but she'd do whatever necessary to train with the male. From his appearance, it seemed like he had been in plenty of fights.

Opening one eye to study the small female, he considered everything. She didn't seem all that enthused to be training with him, and he wasn't in the mood to be battling to make someone pay attention. She'd doubly have to prove herself that she was worthy of his attention now. Yawning, he stretched and got to his feet, sleek muscles rippling over his thin frame. “You're small, weak and inexperienced,” he said bluntly, giving her another closer once over. “You wouldn't survive my training.” Shaking the sand off his black coat, he scratched at a few of his scars, thinking things over. He wanted to go check on his sister and see how she was going. He hadn't seen her for a while, and he liked knowing she was okay. “Prove you can survive a fight and maybe I'll think about it, pup.”

Listening to the pair of them, she narrowed her gaze briefly before speaking smoothly "Lion here has plenty of enthusiasm to wish to learn, there are many wolves she has on her list. She is young however inexperienced, the lack luster clans didn't teach her much. However i'm certain with your aide she'd become the wolf she was destined to be..." Glancing back at the orange female she gestured for her to come forward "Prove yourself in a fight with him, you'll loose, but prove your desire to learn from him... come and find me once you have been trained I have a pet that needs tending to" the patched female with her cold ice blue eyes turned and stalked off leaving them behind. She had better things to do than sit around whilst Killian trained Lion, she'd also be best to go and meet the female that'd garnered some of her attention while she'd been trapped in the forest. However it was the pet that she'd see first, he was rather stupid, and easily manipulated hence why he was her pet in particular. An ear flicked back briefly before she picked up the pace into a trot, eager to see the rather simple boy that over time in the dark forest had become somewhat close to her.

Dawdling up, the quiet shadow finally assumed her physical shape, burying her paws in the sand curiously. She couldn't remember ever being on sand before, even though she and her twin were the youngest of the dark forest wolves now, and so remembered quite clearly their life before dying. Shaking out her pure white pelt, she glanced over her shoulder for her sister to make sure that they were still together. They wouldn't ever be separated now, not in life, and now not in death. Nudging the coal black shoulder, she cheekily flicked some sand over her sister then bolted forward, allowing her rather neglected playful streak shine through for a few precious moments. Quickly growing bored, she padded forward when she spotted the wolf they'd come to see, the infamous shadow with the mismatched eyes. Circling around the orange she wolf, the thief studied her carefully, wondering what was happening. Surely the shadow wasn't going to train this weakling of a wolf? "Such a weakling, wouldn't you agree, sister?" Speaking for the first time since they'd arrived in these lands again, her voice was soft and mellow, quite a distinct contrast to her appearance.

Not particularly amused by her sister's playful acts, the older shadow simply gave a sigh, shimmering in the sun before she too turned into her physical shape. She was the opposite of her sister, coal black where her sister was snow white, but that had never bothered them. Ignoring the sand that was in her coat, she wandered forward with the other shadowy wolf, her sleek pelt rippling over her form. Just like her sister, she had no intentions of being separated again. It had had disastrous consequences the first time around. Flicking her tail absently, she watched the lean male with the same eyes as her sisters, as ever amused by that fact. When her sister circled the bright orange wolf, she mirrored the movements, walking a circle in the other direction while she studied the youngster. "Yes, quite a weakling. Not worth training."

Striding up confidently he looked over the beach, these new territories were so different compared to the ones he'd grown up on, his bright amber gaze studied the white foam of the waves as they washed against the dark grey sand beach. He was seeing the white wolf of the twins, although he suspected that the black one would come along they were joined at the hip after all. Pausing to shake out his thick fur the well built large male resumed striding forward leaving paw marks in the wet sand behind him, walking up as the twins circled the orange wolf a hungry glint entered his gaze as he looked her over. "Oh the contrary you two, she is weak now but if she puts that rage in her to good use and learns how to fight properly she'll do well. If not useful at the very least as a bit of entertainment. Thief i require your services for some work" his gaze glinted with a dark merriment, there was so much that needed to be done but the current plan he had swirling around his head by far was his favourite at this current point in time. "Assassin is more than welcome to join us of course" the first thing to do would be to move into position, currently the plateau was the best bet for waiting for some unfortunate soul to enter their trap. So once they had agreed, the powerful red splattered wolf turned once more and headed towards windclan land

Flicking a glance as the black and white pair came along, circling his apparent new trainee, a glint appeared in the old fighter's eyes. h knew this pair, knew them quite well and so stretched. “Well well,” he said quietly, watching them offering their opinions on the bright female. “If it isn't the twins. Surprise seeing you here, isn't it?” Becoming annoying with the itchiness of his scars, he spent a while scratching them, not bothered by the potential responses. The twins were a deadly combination, he knew that much, but there was no need to provoke them. Though if the youngster decided to go for them - now that would be entertaining. Watching the big blood splattered male walk up, Killian smirked at the information. So they'd kept their fight names, that was good to know. He'd taught them most of what he knew, and so it was nice to see that they'd managed to get out of the ring, though they certainly didn't smell alive anymore.

Lion flicked her ear in irritation at the wolves' words, eyes flaring a bit in anger. She was not weak! Not for an apprentice, at least! Lifting her head defiantly, the ginger she-wolf quickly yelped back, "I'm not weak! Weak wolves don't kill warriors!" She flicked her mane slightly, trying to remain cool and composed. However, it was difficult- she hated being called weak, worthless, the likes- it infuriated her. She killed to prove otherwise! What else did she need to do to prove her strength? Her tail lashed quickly as the young rogue woofed, "I'll fight whoever I need to fight, if that'll get you to train me." She certainly was bold- when she said she'd fight anyone, she meant it. The wolf had little fear, for fear showed weakness. So what if it kept creatures alive? Strength did too! She made it this far on her own, didn't she? Wasn't that a good accomplishment for a mere apprentice? Lion looked hopefully up at Killian- she wanted to train, to become even stronger. The words the other she-wolf had said left the ginger rogue excited and tingly, they were so perfect.

Hearing Eclipsestar wander up and offer his opinion, the ghostly white wolf sent him a wicked grin, simply amused. "Perhaps. Entertainment is always appreciated in our neck of the woods, isn't it sister?" Directing her words toward the black female with them. Yawning, she abandoned her prey for now, taking a moment to bump her head gently against the shadow male. "Surely you don't intend to make her fight you, old teacher? It'd be such a shame to lose a potential piece of prey." Snickering, she nuzzled him gently before glancing at her sister, thoroughly ignoring the orange female now. "Shall we be off, sister of mine? Eclipsestar sounds like he has a delightful bit of fun for us." Pleased with the mischief they'd made so far, the white female lost her physical shape, becoming the liquidy bit of mist that she enjoyed, and zoomed off, making sure that he sister was close behind her.
