RiverClan & WindClan Border

Trotting up and sniffing the air quite pleased that there weren't any others, he slowed down to a walk and renewed a couple of scent markers while waiting for Graystar, if no one else showed up he'd try to talk to her. The smell of the prairie as usual filled him with the urge to run along it sending prey fleeing before him, the old scar on his shoulder ached a little leading him to sit down and scratch at it which in turn lead to him scratching behind and ear firmly. Looking out over the land again he sighed quietly, feeling his doubts and worries return the irish wolf hound got back up onto his paws and just in time as he heard pawsteps sounding over the prairie which only made him feel more down. Now he wouldn't get the chance to talk to Graystar in private at all, perhaps on the way back from the other border he could talk to her without anyone else getting in the gosh darned way.

Trotting up after her leader Embershard was bursting with an idea, she greeted Graystar and Stormblade with a polite smile and dip of her head. Slipping up to stand next to Larkstar she hestitated then murmured into her leaders ear "Forgive me Larkstar, but about the two wolves who mentioned Skyclan, if it really was a thing surely Honeybadger would know? Shes the oldest wolf amongst the clans after all" she'd had to tell her leader straight away before she forgot. It was that or go to Ashfrost and ask him to go to see Starclan in the moon cave, she couldn't see that idea going down well the wolf was well past middle aged and she was pretty sure he'd just tell them to go talk to Honeybadger. The two elder wolves were thick as thieves and he was the only one as far as she knew who could stand her, she had a great respect for Honeybadger it was only natural for her to. She was an elder and held a vast wealth of knowledge, but she was aware of what other wolves thought o the elder and her short temper

Nodding when she was told that her leader planned to speak with their grumpy elder once they returned to camp the female who placed a high price on honour and loyalty was surprisingly friendly with the Riverclan patrol. It was better to be pleasant and try to foster some kind of ambiance between them it lead to less stresses between clans. She studied Stormblade wondering why he appeared a little frustrated that they were there, perhaps he'd wanted some private time with his leader? She listened peacefully to the dialogue between the two Leaders not expecting anymore than them assuring each other that there was plenty of prey and that their clans were strong, of course even if things werent they wouldn't let other clans know the fear of them trying to take advantage of them and trying to steal land too great to not lie.Dipping her head, the female spoke "Farewell and Good hunting" after murmuring her farewell and shooting Stormblade a slightly amused wolf she turned about and followed Larkstars pawsteps rather eager to hear what Honeybadger would have to say on Skyclan she picked up her pace until she was running at full flight over the land. A soft bubble of laughter escaped her as she flew over the land, she loved running over her territory like this, she felt free as if she could really fly.
~Windclan Camp~

The dog had dipped his head politely but had hung back a little privately a little frustrated that he hadn't been able to catch a break or a moment alone with Graystar. Watching as the set of three wolves came and went he sighed and waited patiently until they were all gone once they had the dog swallowed hard willing himself to get a move on and just tell her he darned well felt. He wasn't used to feeling so unsure of himself or nervous, "Hey Greystar, do you happen to erm, think very fondly of anyone in the clan do you" he was struggling between watching the ground under his paws as if it was the most amazing thing he'd ever seen and watching her bright gold eyes. Telling himself he was a warrior not a house pet he stood more strongly and squared his chest "Because I ahem am rather fond of you, I really like you, I have for quite a while now" he felt more nervous than he did embarrassed which was surprising as he'd been thinking about this for quite a long while however he'd only recently worked up the courage now that the clans had split and he felt or rather hoped that the clan mates of Riverclan wouldn't judge her too harshly for it "If you don't share my feelings I hope we can still be friends without any awkwardness" he glanced out towards the camp hoping that the wolves they'd left behind in the clan camp would be okay.

Very very nervous the dog quietly awaited the females response, his tail gave a few firm hard wags when she told him she felt the same. He'd never really felt this happy before, now he knew he wasn't alone in his feelings the shaggy grey dog felt a great deal of contentment he hadn't known was possible only moments earlier. Nuzzling her gently when she bumped her nose against his he couldn't stop the big slow wags of his tail an unconscious movement. Now that he'd spoken his feelings he couldn't quite believe that he'd taken so long to tell her, he was content to stay there with her for now although when he registered that some time had past he very gently licked her muzzle the dog surprisingly sweet and gentle despite his hairy ruffian like looks "We should finish the patrol before they send out a rescue party" he told her in a teasing gentle voice, it was all so surreal like a dream that this had happened to him. Several years ago he'd been a house-pet by the name of ice, he'd become Stormpaw and had gone through training to become Stormblade. Had lived through so many things since joining the clan, he'd journey'd with them and left behind the ability to go back to his human long ago. So many memories, so much life and now with this everything int he world felt like it had settled down into place.

~RiverClan and ThunderClan border~

The male smiled at Greystars words, then went to fulfill her suggestion remarking the faded markers he discovered along the border. There wasn't much along this border apart from prey scents, but there was no windclan on the Riverclan side of the border. It in all honesty was a little weird to suddenly be a Riverclan dog after spending so much of his life as a Stormclan member. Admittedly it helped that Riverclan still had some of the territory he was familiar with. Most of the wolves that had gone to Shadowclan hadn't really liked him in the first place so he wasn't that worried that they'd gone to another clan. He'd been quite surprised that Blackstar had stepped down and given up her nine lives to allow Nightstar to take the mantel, he wasn't quite sure who would have done a better job and so had kept his opinions to himself since no one had asked for it. Noticing that his grey leader had finished with her scent markers he picked up his pace and hurried after her the large dog managing to keep up with the wolf easily enough

~Riverclan and Thunderclan Border~

Cantering up Silverfernglanced over her shoulder looking for Cypressrunner, a smell made her glance over at the Riverclan territories. Usually the main smell from their territory was fish and clean water, however right now it smelt of mud and rotting fish, snorting and trying to get the smell out of her nose she lowered her muzzle and batted her nose as best as she could. The stink of rotting fish overpowered any scents from Thunderclan or Shadowclan which was irritating. Should they go around and try to meet up with Thunderclan wolves or leave as it was today and head back? She decided that she'd defer judgement to Cypressrunner as he was the senior warrior after all, batting her nose once again with a disgusted noise and made a commnt about when he arrived “Geez its a bit of a pong aint it? Far out!” shaking out her thick black fur she ended up deciding to just flick her tongue over her nose repeatedly which helped wash out some of the smell. The black and silver female sighed somewhat, quite thankful that Lilysong didn't live in Riverclan she wasn't quite sure she would have been able to deal with the stink of fish enough to join the clan.

She flicked her ears and took a step back "Smells of rotting fish, usually their border smells of well more alive fish" the way she said fish was strange as if it was spelt feesh, although if one thought about it her entire way of speaking was strange. Man, Brekkie feels like it was ages ago now... a thought occured to her which caused her to ask Cypressrunner "That Lilacsplash has buns in the oven don't she? Thats pretty special if you ask me, mate" the queer black and silver she wolf with her abnormal marking sighed somewhat to herself "It'll be good for the clan to have some more anklebiters aye" now on one of her common waffling tangents that had become well, rather uncommon since she'd left behind her home clan. Perhaps it was that there was a aspect of Cypressrunner that was like herself, she wasn't sure, "Ah well, we'd better bust a gut and see if we can hunt somethink before we go back to the clan camp, the fresh kill piles looking emptier than Shadowclaws head!" she was somewhat confident that Cypressrunner would know the coward male who'd abandoned his son Riverstar and Riverstars mother Heatherfrost for some young curvy chick. Now that she thought about it however, she was just as bad, against her will, silver eyes returned to the mountains, would Heatherfrost and Riverstar forgive her for this choice? Sighing softly she tried to put those thoughts out of her head and instead lifted her nose again, sneezing when all she could smell was fish and that was all, perhaps it'd be better to just head back to camp and inform Larkstar.

There was plenty of prey he'd heard and seen today, pausing in the shadow of some large bushes when he heard voices, his unusual purple eyes picked up on two windclan wolves talking about hunting. If they were goign to do hunting it'd have to be on Riverclan territory as he could smell nothing on the wind from their territory apart from stale droppings prey wise. Perhaps all of the prey was hiding due to the missing sun? Either way he didn't quite care, but he'd stay hidden until they left, then he'd continue his leisurely stroll, silent as always the pup settled himself down into a sit and sighed very softly. He wasn't quite sure whether he'd actually care if the windclan wolves hunted on Riverclan territory or not, he held still breathing in through his nose and getting a faint whiff of the dead dying fish at the river he'd visited once or twice. All Riverclan wolves learned to swim as pups that way there was no danger of anyone drowning in the lake where they kept their camp, it was a good defensive mechanisim. Other wolves from other clans weren't exactly big onf swimming, and even if they could would likely be rather bad at it due to not having as much experience as Riverclan. He washed his tongue over his sleek shoulder, one eye still focusing on the two wolves although he didn't really expect them to notice him, his own clan didn't so why should some other wolves? As stated prior however he didn't care, he was used to it, it was him, and he'd learned to accept it.

He'd been quite happy watch the two start to skulk off when the male, and the bigger of the pair turned and began heading towards him. Not that worried, Silentpup tilted his head very slightly to the left as the windclan male got closer and closer towards him. Not bothering to flatten his ears or warn him off with a growl, Silentpup remained rather, well Silent. His purple eyes narrowed when the windclan wolf crossed the border to come close to the bush and shove his head into where it was not needed. Glaring at him silently, the blue-grey pup refused to speak when the bigger wolf spoke. Greeting him and then asking what he was doing so far from camp, That is none of your business, however he kept his thoughts to himself and simply sat there studying him with the air of someone far older than their years. He waited for the male to start blathering on just like everyone did, he didn’t need to be told that he should be back at camp. He knew that, very well as a matter of fact, however he liked walking and getting away from other wolves although it seemed this walk had ended up with dealing with another one anyway. He was quite content sitting underneath the thick bush, protected from most things, and didn’t even consider revealing himself. An ear flicked back hearing the distant sounds of birds making a loud noise, obviously they’d been disturbed by something, perhaps a wolf or a fox. He however kept his attention on the shady wolf who was in his opinion currently trespassing, a wary look flicked to the silver and black wolf who had been told to hunt. There was nothing to hunt on their territory that he could smell, unless he planned to encourage her to hunt on Riverclan Land, in which case he’d go home, tell Glitterpup and she’d make the big song and dance it all needed. She was useful like that, for an annoying, selfish self centred spoilt little brat, it made her look good which meant she’d do it which also meant this wolf would be dealt with.
