Sunset Point is a generally peaceful place surrounded by rocks on three sides. Waterfalls cascade down the stone, ending in a small stream that quickly turns into a larger lake, still surrounded by the rock. Sunset Point is named due to the bright amount of sunshine that shines down into the lake during sunset, and the orange leaves of Leaf-Fall make Sunset Point appear even more sunny. During winter, the small waterfalls freeze over, and the stream has ice, although the lake is unaffected.

The low rumble from the waterfall filled the area's ambiance as a small framed female wolf slandered down to the lakeside to get a drink. Her stomach rumbled in protest as she once again had forgotten to hunt in her constant pursuit of shiny objects. Often times she wondered if life hadn't made her life a joke by having an oddity of a name that meant fox, yet acts akin to a raven more than either animal. She finished taking her drink as she inspected the area around her to see it was well fortified from others and could provide well for her needs at least till winter came. Her ears flicked around to listen beyond the waterfall's rumble for anything that might approach her, and get the sharp end of them before she took off.

Unknowingly to the small framed female wolf there was already someone here claiming this place as her own territory. It was Viper, a rouge dog who had escaped from the Fighting Ring with only a few scars as proof of what she had dealt with. She was currently sleeping but woke to the sound of someone else's tongue lapping at the water below. Her white and light brown coat sort of camouflaged her with the rocks above Roka and she slowly stood up from her curled up position and looked towards at the wolf from her slightly higher vantage point. She was a few inches from where the fell towards the pathetic excuse for a hill towards Roka. She growled a bit and then made her ears go back. "Hey you! What are you doing here?!" she shouted at her and then ran towards her, skidding to a halt a foot away from the fae's muzzle. "This is my territory, get out!" she snarled with snapping of her jaws.

Roka stopped in the middle of her drink when she heard the typical demands when she usually passed through areas of what are you doing here or get out of here. She lifted her head to be eye to eye with the brown and white dog with an unamused expression on her face. With a slow lick of her muzzle to get the last bit of water off, she was deciding how to deal with the other canine. With a semi-formed plan in mind, and wanting to get the snapping jaw out of her face Roka's ears perked forward and her tail straightened out. A usual response by a leader to put a lesser ranked adult in their place, a facade to fake out the stranger just to get them to subconsciously or consciously move to show any limp or weak points they may have.

Furthering the return intimidation she smacked her lips to show how much control she had of the situation by delaying the response. She evaluated that the blue-eyed female before her was more of an upfront fighter than Roka was, so in terms of strength Roka would lose in a battle of brute force but the scars further indicated to the golden female that the loner's bulk may have lower speed compared to Roka's and the thin scar across her left eye made for a blind spot on the opponent. So Roka would have a greater chance to do some quick damage before getting away but first, she needed distance. So evaluation at the ready she replied in a steady tone and strictly remaining level-headed manner, "I couldn't find your scent to mark it anywhere so you're either new to the area or you have yet to learn how to properly mark. Now I can overlook your transgression in hostility if you give me your name, or should I just call you Copperhead like the snake?"

(OOC: Her left eye isn't blind, it just has a scar)

Viper's facial features which used to be bared fangs and ears back now was a confused expression as the fae didn't act at all afraid of her. Was it her puny size or the fact she wasn't intimidating enough. Maybe it's my curly tail or the fact I look like a car dragged my for a mile and a half on the road! she thought to herself, reflecting on her dog breed features and the scars on her body. She growled a bit and shoved her ears back again and raised her tail ever so slightly, but at the fae's dominant display Roka could see a quick flash of fear in Viper's blue eyes. She snapped her jaws an inch from Roka's muzzle but didn't resort to attack yet. "I was going to before you showed up, trespasser, and don't ever call me Copperhead, those stupid snakes are less than what I'm named after!" she shouted and stepped forward on stiff legs.

(OOC: Roka overestimates the damage done with scars which is why she's often the loser of fights. XD)

"Then what are you named otherwise it's going to stick in my head that you are a copperhead." She replied, not flinching from the snapping jaws, when she saw the flash of fear in the other's eyes. She suppressed the bemused smirk while she held her ground. Given how close to the water the pair were since Roka had not moved from the water's edge, if needed Roka could escape or drag the other female into the water to drown her. Roka abstained from messier kills or attacks but that area advantage would negate essentially the strength advantage the other female had in Roka's mind. She kept her eyes at level with the other, not extending or exposing her throat for an easy attack as she continued, "I am also not a trespasser if you have yet to actually mark... but that's just one way I outfoxed a clan guard or three."

Viper growled and was getting rather irritated. She bared her fangs even more and snarled. "You better back up before I go for the neck, traveler, I've dealt with wolves like you before and I'm not wanting to deal with your stupid species again. Now GET!" she shouted and got into a position that meant if Roka didn't back up now she was going to charge and go in for a bite. She readied herself and pressed her hind paws hard against the ground, getting ready to spring at the small framed fae. If she doesn't get the message now she will when I injure her! she thought in her head. She shoved her ears back and her blue eyes became narrow slits.
(OOC: I intend on her slipping on the wet rocks, so don't worry, she'll miss XD)

(OOC: Hopefully she can swim because Roka will probably pull a cheap move and begin laughing at her flailing around in the water.)

"Do try it." She said a little more smug than she intended. She shifted her weight to the side closest to the rocks to be ready to roll aside if need be and make it to where she got the distance between her and the other canine as she required. Her condescending tone increased as she had her tail bristle and her eyes stayed locked on the narrowing opponent's, "I have yet to do anything but ask a name. It is rather rude to not give one's name, perchance you were raised by two legs to be this aggressive especially when I've just come down to get a drink of water, tsk, bad copperhead."

(OOC: She can swim)

Viper growled and then leaped towards her or tried to at least. Her one hind foot slipped at an awkward angle causing her to yelp and fall right into the water and disappear under it. Her eyes widened and she kicked at the water and soon her head burst from the surface and she swam towards the opposite shore, coughing up a little water and shaking her fur off, now shivering. Her thin coat wasn't good for her in leaf-fall and leaf-bare, it was only good for new-leaf and green-leaf. She coughed up more water than she thought she had inhaled and then sat down, shivering even more. "You got lucky this time!" she shouted with a growl and shivered even more. She could feel her teeth chittering in her muzzle.

(OOC: She regrets nothing that is said or does in the next part.)

Roka resisted for as long as she could from trying to laugh, but alas she couldn't stop when she saw how small the brown and white dog looked when wet. She began cackling madly and wheezing as she dropped to her back legs to sit and continue laughing. Her sides began to burn as she tried to regain control of herself but when she glanced over to Viper she began laughing anew. "Oh stop... it's... look.... like... hedgehog.... so tiny! Angry... little... hedgehog!"

She dropped down to the rock ledge near the water, close to falling in herself as she kept laughing with her legs curling around her middle.

(OOC: Viper's fur is thin, not thick, and how does she look like a hedgehog?! XD)

Viper growled at her and then ignored the wolf's laughing at her somewhat but eventually her ears lowered and she due to the laughing she gained a flashback, which overlapped the "hedgehog" saying. Her eyes widened at the flashback.

It was her first day in the Fighting Ring and she found her owner placing a chain around her neck and forcefully pulling her out of the cage he had left her in. She growled at him and her paws skidded across the floor as she was still in a sitting position when he dragged her out of it. He said something angrily to her and his hand slapped her on the head so hard it made her yelp and stand up. She snarled at him and then she found him leading her towards what appeared to be a tiny door leading into a fenced in arena. Dozens of people sat above the fencing talking amongst themselves. "Here she is gentlemen, the Frozen VIPERRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!" the announcer shouted and all of the people watching that had bet on which dog would win. Her owner took the chain off and shoved her in through the door as it was opened and she found herself in the arena. Her heart pounded in her chest and then she flinched as the viewers around them started laughing at her.

"That's the Frozen Viper, that's the tiniest dog I've ever seen!" she could hear one of them shout. Suddenly her eyes grew the attention as the door on the opposite side of the fence opened up and a big greyhound came through it, a black greyhound. She gulped nervously and faced them on and as it charged towards her she narrowly dodged it, the greyhound ripping into her ear with its teeth as the laughter distracted her.

"Shut up" she found herself whispering during the flashback. "Shut up. Shut up! SHUT UP!!!" she roared at the wolf, tears now dripping from her face and fear-scent surrounding her.

(OOC: That breed of dog in her profile pic when their fur gets wet and shakes off, it clumps together to look like hedgehog backs.)

Roka was regaining control after the fourth shut up was yelled and she looked at the dog. The concern that should be shown towards the other canine was lacking in Roka's expression but she was more interested in what invoked this reaction. She pushed herself up to all fours as she watched Viper. She thought on how curious on the extremity from the reaction from the small wet dog had been to Roka's laughter and she tilted her head. If she pressed further she would definitely make the dog willing to attack her or she could use this to her advantage to make the dog more willing to allow access to this area to live in.

She remained silent to allow the other to recompose themselves because an apology at this time could anger them further or make them distrustful of her intentions.

Viper sniffled and turned away from her shaking more water off her fur. "That laughter reminds me of the Fighting Ring." she said, Roka could smell the fear-scent coming off of her and Viper gulped and sat down again, shaking in fear and distress. "I am Viper." she introduced herself blandly and then shivered. "The Frozen Viper to the Two-legs." she added in.

Roka watched the small dog shake more water off her fur. The first thought was that a wet Viper would result in her getting sick and that means more predators might approach the area to overtake it. She filed that thought away for later as she listened to Viper's introduction before she approached slowly. Her ears no longer perked and her stance was far less intimidating but still commanded the airs of a leader as she tilted her head down in a slight bow to show some compassion. "My name is Roka, I was born from the Shadowclan or so I was told by my dear mother. However, I have never heard of a fighting ring but I assume it is as unpleasant as it sounds?"

She straightened up after asking the question to allow Viper to give her input.

Viper's stance shivered even more and the tiny dog felt like she was going to fall apart. The scar on her left side was facing Roka and only she could imagine how much pain it had caused to light brown and white dog before her. "T-t-the Fighting Ring is exactly as it sounds, they take dogs and sometimes wolves and have them fight against one another to please the two-legs. I was almost killed there because of my injuries." she said through chittering teeth. She then whimpered fearfully as she had another flashback, one where a black wolf dog had fought against her.

She was staring at him from across the clearing of the ring's fenced-in arena. She could tell he had been born and bred for fighting and she felt as thought her heart would burst out of his chest. He lunged towards her and she yelped as he bit her near her eye, blinding her in more than one way. She then felt him bite into her foot and swing her off to the side. She collapsed onto her right side and he came running towards her and bit into her left side with his powerful jaws. She yelped and bit into his leg, making him let go, and that was when he felt his jaws enter her neck. A red haze filled her vision and she eventually passed out, hearing voices "Get her out of there!".

Viper gasped and then stood up. "I-I need to go!" she said and then ran off.

Roka had listened to Viper's story and wanted to comfort the small dog before she took off. Ears lowering Roka found herself mentally berating herself for letting her guard down around the other dog. She turned to the direction where Viper ran off and hesitated if she should pursue the other dog or stay to make this her area.

Ultimately she decided to mark the area as hers as intended. Marking the area had been easy enough and made sure that the area around the waterfall was covered in her scent before she dug out two dens large enough for medium-sized wolves to stay in so if Viper decided to return then Roka would be fine sharing the area with her or it was turned into a treasure den for her private use.

After everything was done, she looked in the direction she had seen Viper run off into and went to the edge of the territory to see if she still was nearby and not seeing her there, ventured further, following Viper's scent.

After sometime, Roka found her nose and eyes had failed her in trying to keep up with Viper. She headed back to the point. She did not notice any other living being in the area as she focused on her den.

A dark paw of inky blackness landed on the rocky bank of the river that flowed over them and pale blue eyes gleamed from the its head. While not solid the form that was taken clearly screamed a heavy set wolf and its eyes held cold knowledge as it looked around slowly. Stepping forward it padded over the water slowly as its senses stretched out seeking something to eat in the area having been attracted by the pain and anger that had now left leaving them dissatisfied. Sitting in the middle of the water with a bowed head it growled as the last dregs left the area making the search start anew for the next meal. While Nightstar had been filling with the release Deathbringer hungered for more bloodlust and death to soak up as it was their food.

Roka's attention had snapped back to her surroundings because something seemed odd around the point. It was almost too quiet, aside from the waterfall's roar, which made Roka become cautious in approaching by taking the high ground to overlook the point to make sure she did not get dropped by some stranger. Her footfall was as quiet as they could be on a rocky terrain, her fur brushing the rough stone beneath as she kept low to the ground. Her ears perked, listening for anything that could be nearby.

It's ear flickered as it picked up movement from above with the clicking of claws and the soft rustle of fur moving. The inky shadow remained on the water as it turned it's attention to the wolf nearby though it's head remained bowed. An ear flickered at a particularly loud sound like the living wolf was at an edge of a rock but the sound echoed making it a bit hard for them to pin down without looking. "Greetings female." Echoed around the area with a gentle almost motherly sounding voice. It stood slowly to head for the bank closets to the goldish furred female with a slow walk and it seemed to become more solid the closer it got though it never dropped the shadow that cloaked it's form.

Roka froze for a second, mouth dry as her eyes darted around to find the voice. When she spotted the dark shadow-smoke covered canine approaching, her ears splayed back as she cycled through her list of options. She did not know how fast the other canine was, how strong, or how patient they were. She did know that they weren't natural, and they were approaching her.

She could play it off and attempt to talk her way out of this but something gave her the feeling that talking it out or attempting to con the other would fail. Bribing with food might make the other wolf think that she could be turned into a servant or slave.

That wouldn't do at all. She ultimately decided to play to her strengths which was her ability to talk her way out of nearly anything, "Greetings, name's Roka, what brings you to my section of the woods stranger?"
