PostSubject: ShadowClan Camp   Mon Jul 24, 2017 12:55 am

First topic message reminder :

The ShadowClan camp is situated in a grove of mangroves where the water has long since dried up, since before the Clans arrived. To make dens, the members have woven leaves and twigs through the top of the exposed roots. The camp gets fairly muddy in leafbare but is pleasantly cool and sheltered from the hot greenleaf sun. The leader's den is directly underneath one of the biggest mangroves, and when addressing the Clan the leader leaps up onto the 'roof' of their den.

Nightstar's growl grew in volume as his forepaws moved slightly as he prepared to pounce onto the female at her clear disrespect and pathetic words the made his ears flatten. Cold laughter ripple through the fog from him when he noticed she seemed to think she had power in his clan and it only grew more evil sounding at Jesterpups words as the large brown male pinned the grey female down with his paws on her body. "Maybe I should and then leave you to die in the swamp. You would look amazing with maggots in your eyes given how ugly they are now." he told her with his fangs hanging just above her. His claws felxed over her pelt cutting into her pelt with ease leaving small cuts from the sharp end that began to bleed coating the air with the scent of blood. "Im almost tempted to keep you though. Just to make you a pup carrier. It would be all your good for." he told her smoothly, "You are to weak for anything else. Weak and stupid." With an easy snap his fangs flashed towards her eye, snapping shut millimetres from it.

Shadows of the Night

Black dark shadows of the night,
across the sleeping earth they creep,
slithering and crawling, they obscure the light,
as they try to steal your soul to keep.

The shadows spread, begin to mingle,
becoming ever stronger in their evil intent,
maliciously seeking souls from the vulnerable,
they journey on and will not relent.

They silvery moon, she grants them life
and gives the shadows their umbras guise,
so pray they do not find you, to cause you strife,
if they do, beware, do not open your eyes.

When the black velvet night grows old,
dying; as the early morning begins to dawn,
the shadows retreat from here they evolved,
as the sun rises  and a new day is born.

He'd been busy listening to Sleetpup and had been about to reply when he'd heard his leaders snarl, hearing what was said he sighed softly to himself. Whoever it was, was a fool, Nightstar would not accept them into the clan and there was nothing else that could be done. He nudged Sleetpup again "Chin up pup, clean out the dens and you'll be an apprentice soon enough alright?" offering a slight smile the burly grey male exited the den and looked over at Nightstar, Jesterpup and the stranger. Sighing he padded up after Nightstars fangs nearly took out the females eyes, and spoke in his gravelly tones "Stranger, you are not welcome in this pack, May I impart some advice? Leave and I shall escort you to the border of a pack that will welcome you and all you have to offer." Hopefully she would agree and he could guide her out of Shadowclan land before she got seriously hurt, Nightstars teeth had nearly taken her eye out after all. He flicked a quiet glance at Nighstar hoping that the leader would understand he was not trying to be insubordinate merely avoid unecessary bloodshed, after having lived through so much of it he was half by sick of it all. He turned his gaze back to the she wolf and quietly but firmly nudged her away from the brown leader of the clan. Murmuring in the females ear "Unless you wish to be used as a broodmare, you should come with me" it was the truth, he had no real wish to see the female hurt.

Misty had never in her life had anybody treat her that way ever. She didnt even know if she wanted to be apart of such a clan that had a horrible leader. And if that was only what the females in her pack were good for she would pass. She left the zoo because they had tried to do the same thing and she wasnt going to just be a pup maker. But she wanted to be apart of a pack that would make her strong and teach her what it was really like to be a wolf. When the Grey wolf came to her rescue she was so happy. And she would gladly go with him if it meant that she didnt have to be near this evil wolf in her eyes. "Why would you follow somebody who would attack somebody before they gave them a chance. I just wanted to become strong, you think i like being weak. I hate it, i feel like nobody will give me a chance. To even teach me how. Why should i even take the chance to go to another clan. The same thing will probably happen. The loners even dont want me. Maybe I should just go back to the zoo. And get my mate chosen for me and have pups that i dont want from somebody i dont love. Sorry you dont care about my life story, can you just leave me somewhere that i may at least have a chance to live." She said only for the grey male to hear as he led her away.

Nightstar stepped back allowing Dragonsteel to give the grey female a chance to leave with him before he decided to make up his mind on what he wanted to do with the pathetic female. He watched as she left with narrowed green eyes. "Next time you wont be so lucky Tiny." he snarled after her letting his cold voice reach her ears. He turned away from the departing pair and made his way up onto the ledge where he started counting the wolves and working out who was still missing. "Blackwidow, Minkfur and Thrushheart are still missing." he mummered to himself growling softly. Most of the warriors were still in camp other than them and he noticed that Bramblerose had yet to return from the border. It seemed that something had held her up and he looked in the direction she was in. "I better not end up finding your dead body Bramblerose." he whispered into the fog. He decided to head out to each the fire swamp out himself and jumped from the ledge with ease trotting out of camp swiftly to retrieve the missing warriors.

Listening to her whine and whinge at him, dragonsteel kept his jaws shut, he was preventing unecessary violence more than anything else. However he didn't say that, instead he let the female prattle on about how difficult her life was in the zoo, whatever a zoo was. Noticing Nightstar leaving he inclined his head towards the leader and once the large brown wolf was gone he looked over at Misty and nodded for her to follow him. He let his paws take him towards the place where he knew she'd be likely to be accepted into the clan and perhaps impart some knowledge before leaving her there. On the trek there he didn't say much, there wasn't much to say while others could hear him, he kept the pace slow, if she'd been bred in captivity by humans she wouldn't have much stamina.

"You did put the maggots in the correct best, right?"
Tricksterpup's question made Marauderpup's ears flatten against his skull. Did his brother not trust them enough to get such a simple task right? Surely he didn't consider them that pathetic? But doubt had now worked it's way into his mind and he fixed his siblings with a long, narrowed stare despite his confidence. He'd opened his mouth half way to speak before his eyes landed on the smug face of Jesterpup and his ears picked up on the distressed cries of Tremblepup from the medicine den. It only took a second for him to fit these pieces of information together, and the sound of Nightstar's impatient voice only made it more certain. "That little pile of mangy crow food..." he growled under his breath, preparing himself to face Nightstar's ridicule before being stopped short by an unexpected voice. He might have expected Jesterpup to gloat, to rub it in their faces that they'd been caught and punished, but the words that came out of his mouth made Marauderpup stumble backwards. He was actually... helping them? That seemed remarkably out of character for their practically insane half-brother. Sleetpup had been thrown in the mud instead but that didn't weigh down Marauderpup's conscience for very long. The fact that Tremblepup had fallen victim to their game did elicit a certain degree of guilt in him, and he considered seeking her out later to apologise, but for now he could do little more than stand there, stunned, that they had been let off of the hook so easily. He didn't offer a response to Jesterpup's comment, letting Silverpup give her cutting retort as his attention was caught by the next mystery of the day. A dense mist seemed to be forming throughout the camp, and by the shifty looks that the ShadowClan warriors were giving by it, it wasn't a good sign. He didn't see how mist could provide much disturbance to anything but visibility, but he was ignorant of the true nature of the fog. It was mesmerising to watch - the way it twisted and swirled, following the small air currents as it wound its way through the camp. He felt himself being drawn in by the sight and almost fell over as he watched it intently, but a roaring from the front entrance was too tempting a spectacle for him to ignore. A smell unlike that of ShadowClan drifted from the body of the stranger stood in the camp and he puffed his fur out as much as he could. Being as small as he was it was hardly an impressive display, but that played no part in the image he created in his head. He was a mighty member of ShadowClan and he wasn't going to let this loner do any harm to him or his Clanmates. Nightstar's voice rippled through the camp and Marauderpup couldn't resist inching himself closer to the scene, all thoughts of their previous adventure discarded. Who is this stranger and what is she doing here? He had been too far back to hear the words that had been shared by the stranger, but their quick departure left him with no time to investigate further. He shot a bewildered glance at Silverpup, his eye brows arched high and his jaw parted in disbelief. "What on earth is going on..." he muttered only half seriously, his kind buzzing from the crazy events of the day. First their crazy mother, next the maggots, then Jesterpup sticking up for them, then the strange mist, and now THIS. He could only imagine what else the day had in store for them.

Sleetpup lowered his ears as he heard Dragonsteel's words. He'd rather go to StarClan than have to deal with this but he complied and started cleaning out the moss in the warrior's den, making them softer and more comfortable to sleep in. In his mind he cursed Nightstar, cursed Dragonsteel, and cursed his whole clan all except for Tremblepup. He scooped out some dead moss and some thorns and brought them outside but not before getting a thorn stuck in his paw. He yelped in pain but he was sure Ivyshade was already busy so he let it go. He continued until half the dens were complete before collapsing onto his belly, exhausted.

The youngster had kept quiet the entire time, her tail tucking more and her head lowering more until they were all gone. Pushing the offensive nest out of the den she watched the small white wrigglers disappear into the ground, how she wished she could do the same. Her anxiety was lower now she was on her own, however now her brain was punishing her for things she'd done or said and it made her ears flatten back against her head. You're so worthless, couldn't even stand up for yourself when Jesterpup was picking on you, then you treated the white pup like dirt. You're horrible, a horrible worthless maggot in an attempt to appease the cruel voice that sounded in her head, the timid and shy pup got up to her paws again from when she'd lain down. Shuffling out of the medicine den she looked about and noticed Marauderpup, Silverpup and Tricksterpup hanging around the nursery. Deciding to give them a wide berth her blue eyes focused on the white pup, he seemed exhausted, taking a deep breath she slowly and rather warily made her way over to him and studied him. Noticing the thorn in his paw she crouched down and sniffed it quietly "That looks sore..." the quiet comment slipped out without the quiet anxiety ridden pup knowing it had. Lowering her head to inspect it more she hesitantly touched one of her paws to the other pup too keep his paw still while she gently grasped the thorn with her teeth and yanked it out swiftly. Spitting it out and to the side, she didn't really see any blood so she left it for the male to lick better. The Iberian wolf pup kept her mouth shut after that and disliking the mist rolling into camp had to prevent a coughing fit, getting up and picking out a frog from the fresh kill pile she settled down near the medicine den using it as a safe zone as other pups weren't allowed in there. It was quickly becoming a safe haven for her, chewing on the somewhat slimy frog, her blue eyes took in the mist silently.

Sleetpup wasn't resting for long when he noticed Tremblepup approach and take the thorn out of his paws. He yelped in pain and then began licking the pain away once the thorn was out. He noticed her leaving and ran after her. "Hey wait! I-I'm Sleetpup! I'm sorry some other pup put maggots in your nest, but I assure you it wasn't me. If you want, I'll take them out for you. After all, you helped me just now." he offered her generously, flicking his ears a little forward as he heard his tail wagging behind him.

Nightstar padded into camp and his eyes narrowed in on Sleetpup who appeared to be frolicking around. "That doesn't look like cleaning Sleetpup." he called out with a growling undertone. His hard gaze remained on the male for a few moments until he turned his attention back to Val. "Keep out of the way for now until the meeting." he told her coldly. His eyes danced around the camp and he growled noticing that Blackwidow was not back yet. He noted neither was Dragonsteel but he figured that he was still dealing with his old friends. Turning he trotted back out of camp to get the female and his to be announced deputy.

PostSubject: Re: ShadowClan Camp   Fri Sep 01, 2017 3:20 am

Sleetpup's ears went down again as he heard Nightstar's booming voice. He didn't understand why the brute was punishing him for something he didn't do and yet he was for some reason not allowed to prove his innocence by speaking to the leader. His tail went tucked between his legs and he glanced towards where Nightstar was before the male once again left camp. Man, I can't do anything around here without somebody telling me what I can't or can do! First I'm blamed for putting maggots in Tremblepup's nest, something which StarClan would forbid me doing since I want to be friends with her, and now he's making a tiny pup such as myself clean up two dens all by myself! Why is StarClan so cruel to me?! It's as if they're laughing at me, saying I'll never be a good warrior! he thought painfully to himself. Having convinced himself he wasn't much more than a piece of dirt to the wolves around him he sadly padded back into the warriors den and began cleaning again. As he removed from dried up and rough moss from one of the nests tears began to flow from his eyes and he found himself crying once again.

He wished he had been born in a more forgiving Clan, like RiverClan or ThunderClan. Then he wouldn't be forced to do stuff as punishment meant for somebody else. He sniffled and sobbed as he removed the bad moss out of the whole warriors den and then exhausted, collapsed onto his belly once more, chest heaving with each breath he inhaled. "I wish I had never been born into this Clan." he said sourly to himself, laying his ears down and covering his eyes with both his fore-paws. He silently sobbed just within the view of the others inside of the camp, though he doubted any of them would come to comfort him. He sobbed like that for about an hour before stopping as a headache boomed behind his eye-sockets. Growling he stood back up and tossed some moss away with an angry swat of a fore-paw. All the StarClan wolves hate me! he convinced himself as he stopped mid-way through fixing a nest.

Val followed the alpha into the camp, carrying herself proudly- she wanted to make the point that she wasn't afraid, but she wasn't a threat. That was the last message the she-wolf wanted to make; she didn't want these wolves to distrust her. It would be nowhere near beneficial to be on their bad side. After all, Val was small and lithe- in no way was she strong. Only agile and charming, which she used to her full advantage. Taking a look over the wolves in the camp, she knew they could easily tear into her. Yes, they'd have to catch her, first. Not to mention, who would want to damage such a fine young she-wolf? 'Don't make assumptions... these wolves could be barbaric as the last pack...' she shuddered at the thought of her captors. 'Hopefully they'll see how useful I can be...'
Nodding at the alpha's curt demand, the she-wolf lowered her head and murmured, "As you say, sir." She then padded to a more isolated part of the camp, laying down and curling up, her eyes flicking around attentively. She could barely see through the fog- she could be attacked without her knowing what was coming. Ever since the ambush that resulted in her capture, the she-wolf became more aware of her surroundings. This was strange territory- she couldn't risk being attacked. These wolves were odd. For now, they couldn't be trusted. She didn't want to be imprisoned inside a pack ever again. Val liked her freedom. Despite her lingering doubts and worries, she figured everything would be alright. The worst that could happen is that she'd be dismissed and sent on her way to find another pack.

The large muscled male padded into the camp with his head held high and his yellow-green eyes piercing through the thick mist that covered the territory, he was hoping that it would not become dangerous for the pups although he knew that there was no such thing as luck in this world. Only skill. Sighing he glanced back over his shoulder for the bichon fries that should be scuttling through the mist after him, it seemed that he’d turned up before Nightstar which was a little amusing. Not that worried about the mist he padded through the camp to sit down neatly and yawned, noticing the different scents in camp, he snorted to himself. So the loner had come from the scorched part of their territory. Interesting, he was considering going to see what she was all about before deciding he’d wait until after the announcements Nightstar had mentioned. He was quite aware that the white dog would have a great time with the wolves of the clan especially if they didn't like dogs, he'd be the first dog in shadowclan since anyone had ever known which only made him all the more unique. He'd talk to Nightstar after the ceremony and mention Killians sister, he'd go find her and bring her to night, the female would make the perfect warrior and any pups she bore would likely pick up her strange traits.

He trotted into the wolf pack camp with his normal trot carrying himself nicely, pausing to scratch at one of his badly chunked ears he glanced about the misty camp with his round brown eyes. Spotting what looked like steel he trotted over and was about to plonk himself down next to him when he spied a female, naturally unable to help himself he sidled over to her and investigated her rather curiously. She was rather a pretty thing, better looking than the rather hideous red and black thing masquerading as a female back at the swamp. He came to a halt and tilted his head a brief moment deciding what he was going to say before settling upon “Well well well, I almost mist you, darling however fortunately for us both, I spotted you just in time" flashing her a quick somewhat debonair grin the dog awaited her response, half by hoping it’d be something fun, he had little interest in actual romance instead preferring to flirt with everyone especially those that disliked him heartily. Settling himself down onto his haunches the smooth talking French man who dissolved into strange insults when he was angry awaited his reply from the sleek female. If he was lucky the pack would have plenty for him to mess with, the brown wolf with yellow eyes was definitely one and so was the red and back she-wolf the rest well he'd have to wait and see of course.

Nightstar had become slightly side tracked on the way back to camp which was evident by the extra toad and lizard in his fangs before he dropped them on the fresh kill pile. Spotting Dragonsteel and the White Demon in camp he turned his attention to looking for Bramblerose, Minkfur and Thrushheart but they had not yet returned. Unable to find a reason to delay the meeting anymore with just a few missing he padded over towards his den. After all he knew they were all on the same border unless Bramblerose had gotten herself lost on the way back. With a push the large male landed on the ledge sitting smoothly while looking out over the clearing. "Let all old enough to catch their own prey gather below the leaders ledge for a clan meeting." he called out with his cold voice echoing through the mist as he waited for the clan to gather.

Shadows of the Night

Black dark shadows of the night,
across the sleeping earth they creep,
slithering and crawling, they obscure the light,
as they try to steal your soul to keep.

The shadows spread, begin to mingle,
becoming ever stronger in their evil intent,
maliciously seeking souls from the vulnerable,
they journey on and will not relent.

They silvery moon, she grants them life
and gives the shadows their umbras guise,
so pray they do not find you, to cause you strife,
if they do, beware, do not open your eyes.

When the black velvet night grows old,
dying; as the early morning begins to dawn,
the shadows retreat from here they evolved,
as the sun rises  and a new day is born.

Val kept her eyes narrowed as they flicked about, obviously rather wary. For the most part, she didn't think anything would happen. However, she couldn't be too sure. These wolves were strangers, and from what she could tell from their leader, they were possibly quite aggressive. A voice caused the young she-wolf to flinch and raise her head. She quickly glanced around, confused, before finally noticing a smaller white dog. Flicking her ears, the wolf tilted her head. Was he... Was he flirting with her? 'Might as well humor him, I doubt he's actually interested in anything,' she thought. 'Not to mention, his accent is rather... French. It's kind of comforting.' Licking her muzzle, the female dipped her head with a small smirk and a chuckle. "Well, bonjour, monsieur. It's good to know this pack has some respectable and charming members... Though you don't necessarily smell like one of them, and it's a bit surprising to see a canine like you 'ere... Especially considering you 'ave such a familiar accent... Who are you, mon cher?" Despite her time away from her mother, who was very much French herself, Val still picked up on her accent just a little bit, and carried it to even now. She knew the language quite well, too, as her mother taught her as much as possible before her death. The two would often speak it in the pack they remained captured in, usually to make fun of the other members and have their own conversations without the members picking up on anything. However, the booming words of the leader caught her attention, and she sighed, murmuring "Ah. Best pay attention..."Getting to her paws, she made her way closer to the ledge- however, she still made a point to separate herself from the rest of the gathered wolves, sitting on the edge of the crowd, and closer to the dog that had greeted her.

Minkfur padded into the camp, her eyes wide, fur fluffed- obviously rather shooken. Inhaling, the she-wolf cast her dull gaze around the camp. Not being able to see much through the mist, she dropped the prey she caught into the fresh-kill pile. She then glanced back towards the entrance, waiting for Thrushheart's arrival. Would he keep quiet about what he witnessed? Hopefully. She then made her way to the ledge, as she heard his call just as she arrived to the camp. Sighing, she sat down before unfamiliar scents got her attention. Swinging her head towards them, her eyes narrowed upon spotting the canine from earlier, along with a mysterious looking she-wolf, who noticed her gaze and dipped her head respectfully. Minkfur scoffed somewhat, returning her gaze towards Nightstar. 'StarClan above... He better not let that dog join the clan. The she-wolf doesn't look too strong, either...' she thought with a soft huff, ears swiveling against her head. However, she didn't say anything, instead keeping silent. She figured Nightstar would address them. Not to mention, he probably was going to choose the new deputy. It was about time, anyways. She just hoped the chosen deputy would be less cruel than the current leader. Minkfur had preferred Blackwidow over him- she had a better heart than Nightstar, who was notably vicious. The she-wolf doubted he'd leave any opponent of his alive in battle.

Sleetpup, who had cried so hard he had given himself a throbbing headache barely heard Nightstar's call for a Clan meeting. Half of him wished he should take part in it but he was worried that the large leader would tell him to go back to cleaning the warriors den until it was spotless. Eventually the white pup with the cream tinted fur made his way outside, his puppy-blue eyes were gone and all that was left of his new brown eyes, meaning he was 6 moons old as of today. It was his birthday though he doubted anyone cared. He slowly made his way into the center and hid fearfully behind the warrior he knew to be Minkfur. He admired the dark brown and white female as if she were his own mother but worried about who Nightstar would choose to mentor him and what his warrior name would be.

He hoped and prayed it would be a fitting name for him and much better than Dragonsteel. He lifted his gaze and it fell upon Nightstar, hoping the brute didn't notice him among the gathered wolves below. Please StarClan, if you can hear me, give me a mentor worthy of me he thought to himself as he waited for Nightstar to speak again.

Highly amused at the smirk, his brown eyes sparkled with silent laughter as she replied, “Ah finally, someone else who speaks sense, I am The white demon ‘owever my friends call me FF” he wasn’t about to reveal what the two letters stood for to anyone in this pack he didn’t have a suicide wish after all. Listening carefully the familiar accent was rather pleasant for the small white dog, despite his small stature he was a deadly opponent made all the more so by his appearance which meant most underestimated him. When Nightstar called out for a clan meeting before he could respond, he wandered after his new friend to sit down next to her when he noticed the brown and black wolf from earlier. Noticing her scornful glance in his direction a wicked grin spread over his maw “Excuse-moi Cherie, I ‘ave some mischief to conduct” pattering over towards the large wolf he preformed a bow and looked up at her with suddenly gorgeous liquid brown eyes “Darling, the sun may be blocked from shining its rays, but you in all your glory provide enough light to guide my way~” the big brown brute on the rock hadn’t started speaking and so he kept his attention on the brown wolf. Vaguely recalling that Nightstar had called her Minkfur he spoke smoothly “My heart yearns to know the name of the gorgeous female who has glided into my life with elegance and poise” Straightening up he prepared himself to dart out of the way incase she attempted to go for him over it, this pack was going to be so much fun, he couldn’t wait especially now there was another French speaking flirt he could team up with. It seemed that joining this clan had been a good idea although he was very certain that the cold male that was standing on the mangrove roots would be testing him which he was fine with.

Once majority of the clan was sitting around ready to listen the large male rose to his full height call attention to him silently. His green eyes drifted over his gathered clan spotting Sleetpup hiding behind Minkfur but he dismissed the pup with a flick of his ear. "There are a few things to discuss at this meeting. Number one, the mist. Yes it is an unusual time of year for it and it is coupled with the loss of the sun however until it is proven otherwise, we have nothing to fear from it. However none are to leave camp alone." He told them with his voice leaving no room for arguments.

"Number two. Im sure all of you have noticed there are two new canines in our mist. Val and The White Demon have both asked to you us. They are currently on trial until their hunting abilities have been observed to show they can help provide for the pack. Val will also be going through an attack at some point in the next few days however Dragonsteel has vouched for the White Demon and he does not." His head had tilted towards each of the mentioned pair as he named them, "If you have any concerns about the White Demon's fighting skills feel free to take them up with Dragonsteel or the White Demon himself."

"And finally I have chosen a new deputy." He announced jumping down from the ledge and landing with a soft thud, "I say these words before the clan and Starclan so they may hear and approve my choice. Dragonsteel will be the new deputy of Shadowclan." His head dipped towards the older grey male with respect after his announcement and he dismissed the meeting with it as well.
