A large grassy clearing where wolves go to sun themselves and train, rabbits are hunted there though foxes and occasionally a badger will burrow their due to the soft ground being easier to dig.

Pinedusk slowed down to a stop as he neared the clearing. The temperature was already rising as the sun climbed higher in the sky. Soon it would become unbearably hot, but for now, the warmth felt comforting. He lowered his nose to the ground to check for the scent of rabbit. He picked up a relatively fresh trail and began to follow it, moving swiftly but cautiously. I hope Gentleheart will like the rabbit. The reason he had gotten up early was to hunt fresh prey for her. Gentleheart meant the world to him, as did Pebblepup and Lightningpup, and they were all he had in terms of family. His sister and best friend, Fernshade, had gone missing right around the time the pups were born. Pinedusk was deeply upset by this, and felt conflicting feelings. One the one hand, he was overjoyed that he was a father and that Gentleheart had been okay, but on the other hand, he missed Fernshade terribly. On top of that, his second born, Nightpup, hadn't survived. I can't think about this and focus on hunting at the same time, he told himself, shaking his head as if to rid himself of his thoughts before focusing back on the hunt at hand.

Within time, he neared upon a rabbit. It was busy nibbling away on the grass and didn't notice him. Closer, closer... he was about to leap when the rabbit suddenly looked up, saw him and took off. Pinedusk let out a growl of frustration and pelted after it, using his speed to his advantage. Within a few moments he'd pinned down the rabbit and quickly finished it off. This particular rabbit was quite plump, much to his satisfaction. Now, back to camp. With the rabbit in his mouth, he started back towards the cave the Clan had made as their home.

Trotting up, Pinedusk's scent was clear to smell, but Riverstar ignored it. He'd noticed the other wolf coming back with a rabbit earlier, presumably for his mate. Casting around for more rabbits to hunt down, he soon found one and began following it, ignoring the warmth of the sun. It seemed like it was going to be quite a hot day, which meant he'd retreat to the pond at some point later for another swim. Wondering if any of the other wolves would join him, he found a place to crouch and hide, watching for any unsuspecting rabbits to catch. Patiently waiting, it was a while before one ventured closer to him, and he settled lower into his crouch before darting after it. The little rabbit froze for a split, unfortunate, second before trying to bolt but it was too late, and he pounced. Landing squarely on the bunny, he broke the neck easily and moved back to where he'd left the other two and dropped the rabbit on the ground to rest a bit, half closing his eyes as he enjoyed the sun.

Pawstep in pawstep they'd taken their time wandering around and on the way had caught and killed a rabbit, they'd used their special two versus one approach that made up for lack of speed. Arriving in time to see a red wolf successfully catch a rabbit they smirked as he sat down and closed his eyes to soak in the sun. They'd not bothered to hide their scent instead they'd traveled with the wind remaining down wind as much as possible. Splitting up Spacedust came up on the red wolfs left while Timescatter moved to the red hued males right. "Well well well" "a sunclan wolf""the fifth clan" "The new fifth clan sister" "ah yes you're right" "Of course I'm always right""are not" "are" "are not" "are" "are not, i shant argue with you anymore over it" "Back to it then?" "Yes I suppose, you've rather drained some of the fun out of it" the pair spoke as if they were the same person speaking one sentence one after the other without a breath or hesitation. Studying the red coloured male they glanced at one another around him, "Another leader" "two in one day" "a lucky day" "sister we don't believe in luck" "True" they moved around to both stand together infront of the leader of sunclan. He was an interesting one quite different to the leader of the clan of wind, she'd gotten short tempered and snarky and had little to no manners. The clan must be desperate for such a green female to lead the clan although it seemed the male was green as well, it was rather strange to understand that some how two green wolves had managed to become leader. What would the other three clans be lead by? They'd have to find out through exploring their lands and taking stock of what was going on, with the right pressure perhaps their clan could live again. The two sole survivors of what had been a terrifying experience hadn't stalked the trail of these clans for nigh over twelve moons just for them to settle down and accept what had happened. Although that was kept close to their hearts, it would not do for anyone else to discover what their true motives were. For now they were content to appear as if they were showing up to discover the fate of the clans that had once shunned Skyclan and sent them from their home

Hearing the pawsteps, Riverstar opened his eyes in time to watch the pair of white wolves circling him. Listening to them, he decided not to interrupt them until they seemed ready to let him talk. His ma had always told him to hear everything before speaking his own mind, and he had a feeling that it was going to be the best choice with this pair. Studying them curiously when they finally stopped in front of him, he dipped his muzzle in greeting to them. With him at a disadvantage of two to one, it would be best to try and keep things peaceful, at least until the rest of his hunting party turned up. “Greetings,” he said simply, taking in their strange scent. They didn't smell like loners, but nor did they smell of any of the other clans. Confused, he tried to pick it out, unsure where they'd come from. There was a faint whiff of Windclan on them, but he guessed that was just from passing through the borders. It wasn't strong enough to be more than that, after all. “Have you lost your way? I'm afraid you're on our pack land.” Careful to keep from appearing that he was accusing them of anything, he didn't want to offend them. They looked like they'd be formidable opponents in a fight if it came to it, and he really didn't want to have to fight. it had been such a nice day so far. “I'm Riverstar. Who might you two be?”

It had taken Stoatblaze some time to reach the clearing. For one, he was a rather slow runner. Secondly, he'd found a rabbit's scent trail on the way over and had decided to follow it. He hadn't been successful in his pursuit, however; the rabbit spotted him before he was close enough to leap and had taken shelter in its burrow. Stoatblaze was frustrated, but had decided that there wasn't anything he could do about it and had hurried to catch up to the others.
Now, as he neared the Sun Clearing, he spotted two strange wolves standing on either side of Riverstar. He let out a growl, trotting over to the scene. When he got closer he noticed that the wolves had a strange scent, not quite loner but unlike the other Clans'. Riverstar's posture was not hostile, so Stoatblaze guessed that the strangers hadn't threatened him. Yet. One could never trust a strange wolf. He kept his gaze fixed on both of the wolves, his expression uneasy, listening to hear what they'd have to say and ready to spring into action at a moment's notice should they threaten Riverstar.

They observed the red wolf as one, it seemed that he was very keen on keeping things peaceful which they appreciated. Honestly fighting when they could learn everything the wanted through simple chatter suited them much better. They both physically relaxed as he did, the gesture subtly manipulating the blue eyed male, the gesture showing if he the one who wished to keep things peaceful relaxed then they would be as well. However they did not deal with threats and would see to those quite clearly, he provided them with his name. Riverstar, "Quite ironic isn't it" "is what sister?" "Leader of sunclan named River" "Yes, I suppose it is" they were on the cusp of replying inkind as to why they were here and that they wanted to learn more about this fifth clan when a warrior of blue eyes and ginger fur charged up growling. Immediately the male Arctic wolf's hackles rose although he didn't growl instead he stared at the stranger with a certain degree of threat in his gaze while the female remained quite calm and collected "I think you'll find you'll get more out of us once your clanmate has buttoned his lip and calmed himself" this time they spoke as one and their true eerieness became quite off putting, their own subtle threat sent right back to the wolf that had shown up and caused stress to the moment. they would not respond to threats or subtle ones, the two halves of a whole were perfectly fine with the idea of tearing into these two wolves if need be the pair could fight fluidly as one and even two versus two didn't really intimidate them much. It was a rather small hunting patrol and they couldn't help but wonder if a third wolf was supposed to be coming or not.

Her canter following the strange scent had slowed to a trot by the time she got to the sun clearing, spotting Riverstar concern for him made her heart ache. They couldn't afford to loose another leader however they seemed angry with Stoatblaze rather than interested in Riverstar. Slowing to a walk her natural ability to think first then act came into play, moving to stand next to Riverstar she assessed the situation and took a long deep breath calming herself and letting most of her tension flow away. Her brown eyes studied the two white wolves wondering what on earth they wanted. It would have been so easy to loose herself and threaten them, but that would not solve the riddles of what they wanted. She sent a brief questioning glance at Riverstar hoping he'd fill her in, on what was going on and why Stoatblaze was so out of sorts.

The strange scent had led him back to the Sun Clearing, where two unknown wolves were standing along with Riverstar and Stoatblaze. Pinedusk's scent was still rather fresh in the area; had he just missed running into these wolves before? The thought was somewhat disconcerting. Even if the wolves didn't appear to pose a threat at this very moment, he would hate to have to face them alone. Pinedusk moved closer to the others, standing to the other side of Willowmist. He gave a quizzical glance towards the white-furred wolves, uncertain what they wanted.

Oakstream had a smile on his face as he arrived at sun clearing. Sensing the tension in the air he wiped the smile off his face and stood next to Pinedusk. He wondered what was going on and why there were two wolves that he didnt recognize by sight or scent. He studied the identical wolves in curiosity. Were they going to attack? Were they just passing through? Or maybe they wanted to join sunclan.

Tilting his head at their words, Riverstar had been thinking through what the strangers had been saying when Stoatblaze had rushed up. Flicking his ears in annoyance, he didn't particularly blame the strangers for being on the defensive. After all, they hadn't been threatening him just yet. Before he could speak, he scented Willowmist on the wind, and gave a sigh as she came over. Though at least she was level headed and stayed quiet and non-threatening. He wasn't entirely sure that the clan wolves would be able to win a spat with the two white ones. They moved together like they were one being, and that was a difficult advantage to defeat to begin with. He'd much prefer it if things went civilly. Sending a thoroughly annoyed look at Oakstream, Riverstar got to his feet and took a few steps forward, choosing to address the two strangers on his own, and just hoped that the rest of his clanmates would be smart and shut up. “It was unintentional to portray a threat,” he said smoothly but sincerely, hoping that it was enough to appease the strangers. He didn't want to push the clan into a war so soon after narrowly avoiding one, and they had two litters of pups to keep safe. “Are you lost, and is there anything we can do to help you find your way?”

Stoatblaze snorted in irritation when the two strange wolves implied that he was being unreasonable. They were the ones intruding on SunClan territory, after all. He sent a glance to Riverstar, but the leader said nothing in response. Stoatblaze turned his gaze back onto the two loners and sat down without saying a word. He flicked an ear when he heard the arrival of Willowmist, Pinedusk and Oakstream. He was somewhat surprised that the first two had come to the Sun Clearing, but reasoned that they must have caught the loners' scents when they were patrolling the borders. When he heard Riverstar ask the strangers a question, he perked his ears forward in order to hear their reply. He personally thought that Riverstar was being too cordial with them, but if that tactic got the loners to admit why they were on SunClan land, he figured it didn't matter.

They hadn't relaxed as other wolves appeared, the pair of them unmoving, as they observed the scene. Catching the red wolfs cold glance at one of the other wolves they sensed some sort of irritation there, sharing a single glance as they decided ever so carefully on what they would do. They would not leave this territory without causing some mischief and thus they settled lightly "Honor among clans" "Apparently thats dead" "What five against two?" "Still, it has been done" "Had been done" "Will be one" "ah time such a complicated matter when paired with grammar" in the midst of their 'discussion' snowflurries began to fall soon dissolving into a strong blizzard. Sharing a look they spoke cooly "and now you see Skyclans revenge for the four clans casting us out when we needed help the most, when four clans turned the fifth out to die. Yet welcomed anther fifth clan" their voices turned cold and almost commanding. After they used their white fur to their advantage and turned about to almost vanish into the thickly falling snow. They'd be happy to claim that this sudden snowfall was because Skyclans Starclan was angry with the others, after all they'd timed their arrival perfectly. They turned their paws towards Thunderclan land, moving effortlessly over the earth in their strange gait.

Uneasy with what they said, and the uncanny timing of the snow. Riverstar didn't say anything as the pair left, more worried about the strange snow. Tucking his head against the wind and driving snow, he looked at the other wolves with him, working out who was there. It seemed that nearly all the adults had ended up here, which was a bit strange in and of itself. “The snow is more worrisome for the moment,” he said bluntly, tucking his tail down and working out which way they had to go home. Sunheart was going to be so upset about her herbs getting killed by the premature snow. “Let's head back. We won't find any prey now.” Picking up the prey he'd managed to find, he began to head back to the camp, barely waiting for a response from any of the others. Spotting his mother, he gave her a gentle nuzzle, knowing that she would have been worried about them all, and kept going. The snow was getting heavier, and they needed to get back before they all got too cold to survive.

Relief filled her when she spotted the whole group of missing wolves amongst the driving snow. Half closing her eyes to stop the snow getting in them, she nuzzled the dark red male when he neared her, internally counting to make sure everyone was there. Worry filled her when she didn't count Galepaw, and she made a note to keep an eye out for him. Thought he'd gone out with Willowmist, and she was fully capable of taking care of the excitable youngster. Maybe he'd just been sent back to camp before all this had begun. Hoping that that was the situation, she turned her feet for another part of their territory, her coat fluffing out in an attempt to trap warm air and keep her body warm. Giving a quick glance at Ashfall to make sure that he was still fine with the idea, she trotted off. It didn't seem like the hunting patrol had found much before the snow had started, so hopefully they'd be able to find something themselves to add to the pile.

Struggling a little with the snow that was starting to pile up as it blew into his eyes and face, he appeared to have a semi beard by the time he caught up with Heatherfrost. Shaking himself out he stared at the others wondering why the border patrol had ended up here, not really in the mood for questionning it Ashfall just watched as Heatherfrost nuzzled her son. She was a good friend to him, tucking his tail against himself firmly as a wind picked up sending the snow falling from the sky flurrying everywhere, he flattened his ears back as well in an attempt to keep them warm. Looking forward already to returning back to the clan camp and snuggling into his warm nest he, kept close to Heatherfrost hoping there was something at least they could do to help the clan before it got too cold for them. Perhaps Riverstar would talk to Sunheart and see what the issue was, realizing Heather was heading for the blazing forest he picked up the pace after her paws thudding over the freezing ground.

She'd kept her trap closed trusting Riverstar to talk to the strangers, their words however as the world suddenly got cold and dark made her hackles rise defensively. Not long after Heatherfrost and Ashfall showed up, and headed out towards the Blazing forest, however the snow that started to litter the earth around her was enough for her to decide to turn back which Riverstar agreed and headed back to camp himself. Pausing to nudge Stoatblaze affectionately the old female turned about and followed the leader back towards camp. Thankfully she'd taken good enough care of herself when she was younger, the senior warrior wasn't too bothered by the cold her long thick fur custom built for this kind of weather. Still she wanted to get out of it as soon as she could and thus picked up the pace, the pups would need to be kept especially warm and the nursing queen of their clan. Her mind buzzed with what they needed to do, from preparing for avalanches should the snow get thick enough and discussing how they'd feed the clan.

It was unsettling how the pair of loners spoke together at the same time. Their words were strange, as well. SkyClan? Who are they? He'd never heard of this supposed 'fifth Clan' before, and doubted of its existence. These loners must have just come here to stir up trouble. There had always been four Clans in the forest; after all, the old Gathering-place that StarClan had chosen had been named Fourtrees. Also peculiar was the early snowfall that was just now beginning. However unusual, this snowstorm has nothing to do with 'SkyClan.'

He flicked his ears when Riverstar stated that they'd need to get back to camp. He was frustrated that he hadn't caught any prey, but there was no more prey to be caught in this weather. He returned Willowmist's affectionate nudge with his own before looking back at the two other warriors who remained. "Come on, we'd better hurry back too." He shivered as he spoke. Although his fur was thick, it was also very short. He looked back to make sure that the other two were coming and he started toward the camp, hoping that the blizzard would end soon.

Pinedusk flicked his ears back with uncertainty as the loners spoke. He had never heard of the supposed SkyClan. Were the strangers telling the truth? Their words were made even more eerie by the sudden snowfall that began in the middle of them speaking. They'd walked off after they spoke, disappearing into what was now beginning to look like a blizzard. He nodded when Riverstar said that they should get back to camp, but gave a wary glance in the direction the loners vanished in. He didn't trust them, even if they hadn't attacked or threatened SunClan. He wasn't certain that he agreed with Riverstar that the snow was more worrisome for the time being. "Coming," he called after Stoatblaze. He gave a glance back at Oakstream before heading off after the other warriors.

Oakstream was taken off guard at how the two wolves spoke as one he found it disturbing like maybe instead of two personalities there was really only one. He was glad when they left but the sudden darkening of the sky and heavy snowfall caused him to worry. What was the clan to do. They hadnt been stockpiling a lot of food. They had no idea that this was coming. He wondered if this was starclans doing. He followed after Pinedusk, his ears and tail tucked close to his body. He was never one who cold stand the cold much.
