Lost Plateau 33617713183_ac579e16b9_b

A stretch of bare rock lying slightly parallel to the Jagged Cliff. Trees dot the landscape, along with long grasses that wave in the wind.

Heavypaw lead the way to his personal favorite location in his territory. He kept his nose to the air to make sure they weren't being followed. "This is Lost Plateau. I personally come here when I need to clear my head. The view from the top is breathtaking. Almost literally." He explained and stopped at the foothill near the bottom. He waited to see if she'd want to see the top, or be fine where they were.

She'd followed him quietly, keeping her ears and nose open for any other wolves that might be around guessing they probably wouldn't be as open as Heavypaw. That and she didn't want to get him in trouble because she'd asked him to take her to his favourite spot, eventually he stopped upon a foot hill and Delilah stared up at the huge sheer cliff with great interest "Wow i've never seen something like that before in all my days" she exclaimed with a wag of her tail. It was true, she'd seen all kinds of things to do with humans but natural wonders such as the sheer drop of the plateau was something completely new to her. Seeing it the natural gutsyness returned making her grin a little and determination to sparkle in her gaze again "Can we get to the top?" it was half a question and half a challenge, she wanted to see if they could actually get up there. Her brown eyes returned to the face of the cliff trying to see if there was any way one could actually climb it, managing to pick out a couple of ways she ignored the fact that if she fell she'd break something without question.

Was that... a challenge? Well, challenge accepted! "Better yet, I'll race you to the top!" This was a hopeless challenge however. Her experience in running would definitely trump his, even if he was a WindClan apprentice. However, he wondered how well Delilah's legs would fair against the rough cliff edges, and suddenly felt a flash of concern. If things get too dangerous, he can always stop and go back for her.

Heavypaw crouched down, feeling excitement tingle from down his spine and into his paws. He sent his companion a friendly smile and let his tongue loll out of his mouth in a steady pant. Running in this heat probably wasn't the smartest idea, but it sure sounded like the most fun one! "On three... one... two..." he didn't wait for three. It was a cheeky move, but he needed any advantage he could get here.

He darted off and up the hill, scrambling to get a good foothold on the rough terrain. The dirt was hardened in the sunlight, and scratched against his paw pads.

Laughing excitedly when he took her up on the challenge and then improved it the young Greyhound gave a slight bounce on her paws "You're on!" crouching down she prepared herself to go even though she had no climbing experience she was keen to give it a go and there was no way she'd back down. Howver instead of going on three the cheeky ruffian took off without her, not bothering to call out in indignation she instead threw herself into the work. Scrambling up she found that the rocks were hot from the suns glare upon them, ignoring that and the slight pain of the sharp stone digging into her pawpads Delilah carried on using her tail to balance her as best she could. Enjoying the friendly competition she soon enough managed to catch up to Heavypaw, lighter and dainty she had more of a range able to use rocky outcroppings that would support her weight but not his. "You're going down" she told him with a laugh, thoroughly enjoying herself while panting heavily from the exertion. She'd never had so much fun before, running around on a track after a fluffy thing wasn't really what she'd consider fun she'd rather chase something alive and for something that wasn't lining a fat humans wallet. Pulling herself back to the competition eventually she heaved herself over the top and scrabbled her butt over to lie on the ground panting heavily a large grin on her face too hyped up on adrenaline to realize she'd gouged her side while climbing.

As Heavypaw climbed, he attempted to jump onto the same places Delilah did, but realized too late that it wouldn't support his bulk. The rocks crumbled from underneath him and he let out a yelp as he fell. By the time he made it back onto his paws, it was too late. His competitor had too much ground on him, to the point he couldn't see her anymore, and could only hope she made it to the top, and not toppled all the way down. He gave up on the race and instead just made his way up at his own, brisk pace. "Alright... you win, fair and square." He flopped down next to her, his sides heaving with exhaustion.

Suddenly, a sharp stingy scent caught his attention. It was a scent he recognized, but didn't smell too often. Blood! His own paws stung from the rocks, but they were only scratched and possibly bruised. They couldn't possibly be bleeding as much as he scented. So that left Delilah. Heavypaw forced himself up onto his paws to examine her. "Hey, you're bleeding!"

Her wound wasn't a life or death one, but it certainly needed attention. Unfortunately he lacked any proper knowledge in the healing department, and there was only one he knew who did. He shuddered at the thought. There was no choice here. If he left her to fend for herself she'd surely bleed out. His Clan might not like it but he had to do the right thing. "I'll take you to my Clan's medicine wolf. Ashfrost will know what to do. He won't be too happy though..."

Heavypaw approached the small dog's side and nudged her with his nose, attempting to scoop her up onto his back. The apprentice may be young, but between Delilah's light weight and the adrenaline coursing through his veins, he would be able to manage. There was a less steep slope that he would generally use to get up here, the only reason why he didn't use them for the race was because it was on the opposite side of the plateau. "Come on, I'll carry you there."

There was no telling how much trouble he would be getting himself into, but he couldn't let his new friend suffer. Especially since it was his fault. His lime green eyes clouded in grief. Why did these things always happen to him?

Quite content with where she was she didn't move until she heard her competitor finally catch up. Throwing him a grin when he admitted that she'd won she was briefly concerned that he might over heat as the sun was reaching sun high the hottest part of the day. Looking over at him tiredly as he leapt up onto his paws and came over she lifted her head and inspected her side "huh,so I am" somewhat surprsied as she couldn't really remembering that happening she looked up at her friend and became quickly surprised when he said that the wound needed attention and that he'd take her to Ashfrost. He didn't give her time to respond but truthfully as her adrenaline started to wear off she could feel the painful sting of the air hitting the exposed skin. A rather unlady like yelp left her as she was scooped up onto the apprentices broad back, she carefully gripped onto him with her claws so she wouldn't fall off "I'm sorry im going to get you in trouble now aren't i?" Delilah murmured to her friend, he was her friend now after all, they'd done a friendly competition but now she could feel the guilt starting to fill her at the idea of her friend being punished because of her.

Heavypaw began the trek down, keeping his pace slow and careful as to not accidentally throw Delilah off. His muscles still ached from the race, but he refused to show weakness. She needed help. "Don't worry about it Deli. It's not your fault," he told her sternly. It's mine. The apprentice winced and unknowingly picked up his pace as he neared the bottom. "It'll be alright. Larkstar is a really good leader. Sure I might get put on elder duty,
or clean out the nursery for a moon, but it's not something apprentices don't already do really. She won't be too rough, this is the first, and hopefully the last time I break the rules around here,"
he chuckled to himself as he hit the flat surface beneath the plateau. He was a troublemaker as a pup, but never dared do anything that would get him into serious trouble. Heavypaw didn't like the idea of seeing his leader angry with him, but he felt that it would be alright in the end. This was the right thing to do, after all. She'd find it hard to punish him too harshly for saving a life. At least, that's what he hoped.

His apprentice ceremony wasn't that long ago, he barely started training, but he knew Larkstar well enough to know she showed him respect, as he showed her. Hopefully she'll be as understanding as ever.

His sternness surprised her when her friend informed her it was indeed not her fault ,which was rather silly as to her it was her fault she'd climbed up and gotten herself hurt on the journey upwards. Holding on as he picked up his pace during the final part of their descent she wriggled off of him once they were on steady ground again "I'm not broken i can walk the rest of the way there" it was sweet gesture though, wagging her slim tail as if to say it'd all be alright she turned her head to briefly run her tongue over the wound to silence it for a few moments. Feeling somewhat guilty that she'd caused him to break the rules for the first time she nudged him "I hope its not anything too serious Heavypaw" she could half guess that he'd be banned from seeing her again which was quite disappointing, she'd really enjoyed getting to know him a little. Perhaps they could find somewhere for them to meet again where he wouldn't get in trouble, she had no idea what way his camp was and so left it to him to lead the way once they had begun walking she queried "Is there anywhere we could have another competition where you wouldn't get into trouble?" the golden grayhound asked quietly panting quite a bit still from the heat of the sun, perhaps they could have a drink on the way back she was thirsty

Heavypaw let Delilah slip off his back and gave her a brisk nod and a polite smile. "I know you're not, but I didn't want to risk you hurting yourself on the way down. Well... anymore than you already have," he chuckled lightly and took the lead back to his camp. Delilah asked where they could meet without him getting into trouble. "There are loner lands nearby. The White Glades is all I've really been in though. For the most part I stick to my own turf, but with you I can make an exception." He gave her a cheeky grin.

His dark pelt was absorbing the heat faster than a ball of moss in water. The apprentice didn't realize this until he was panting heavily. Glancing back, he observed Delilah was as well. "We can stop by Bristle Hollow again for a quick drink before we get to my camp. It's not too far out of the way," he suggested.

Nodding in response to his answer that he hadn't wanted her to get hurt anymore than she already was on the way down which was rather sweet. Paying close attention when he mentioned that he'd been to a place called the white glades and just grinned at him when he mentioned he'd make an exception for her when it came to poking around loner lands. Thinking about it quite intently she nodded "Theres a river in the two leg town that flows out towards the unclaimed territories, we could meet there it'd be fun in summer" she knew the two leg words for the seasons more than other canines terms. The river would be fun to play in and perhaps they could try see who was the faster swimmer if he knew how to swim that was she hadn't really seen anywhere yet where one could go for a swim, the stream in the bristle hollow where they'd met was far too shallow for a swim it barely reached her belly. The idea of pausing in the hollow however for a swim was a great idea, nodding keenly in response to it the fawn greyhound followed the dark hued wolf towards the bristle hollow again ignoring the blood that was welling up in her wound at least the hot day meant it'd scab over soon

"Sounds good to me," Heavypaw nodded and followed his friend away from the plateau. Not only did he want a drink, but he almost wanted to stall and see if her wound really did need medical attention. He really hoped it wouldn't but at the same time he didn't want to risk it getting infected and have yet another thing to add the burden he already carried. "Lead the... way?" Before he knew it, Delilah already had a head start on him. He smiled to himself and quickened himself into a trot to catch up.

Walking up and ignoring the faint smell of dog and wolf, the burly white wolf stood at the edge of the plateau staring down at the long drop where the land fell away suddenly as if it'd been cut with a knife. He was waiting for three to show themselves, the twins and their prey, he followed his gut alot of the time as it often held feelings that helped him get what he wanted. He didn't care who showed up here, but indeed he was hoping it'd be someone fun. Grinning to himself at that thought he entertained the notion of it being a female, that he could assault and hurt before Thief stole its miserable life and sent it to the dark forest where it'd be stuck with him for ever, rolling his he sat down and sighed his amber eyes closed listening to the wind as it swept over the plateau and wound its way through the white thick fur that grew all over the wolf. With Leaf bare coming their attacks would be even more damning to the destruction of the clans, he'd encourage his wolves to hunt and drain prey resources sending them to dump the prey on other clans territories and inducing conflict and if they were very lucky, war.

Darting up, the thief hovered lightly over the dropoff, enjoying the feeling of adrenaline going through her as she giggled lightly. She and her sister were quite young for being in the dark forest, easily the youngest of them all, and so at times they were often quite playful and pup-like, though the elder was quickly losing her playful streak. After a while, the liquid-like shadow lost the entertainment and dropped to the ground, forming her pure white self as she waited for the male to speak and her sister to join. "What am I stealing, Eclipsestar? Another leader?" Her mismatched eyes sparkled in anticipation, unable to wait.

Disliking the feeling of being mist, the dark furred killer hadn't stayed like that for long, only enough to keep up with her little sister. She wasn't particularly interested in killing right at this second, though she would need to keep an eye out for the thief. She often got too much into her stealing to keep watch, and that was what he big sister was for. Ignoring the big male, the sleek black wolf sat down, grooming the loose sand out of her coat while she waited for the next piece of information.

An ominous feeling seemed to cling to the air. Larkstar trotted on, but couldn't shake the feeling that with each step she took, danger pressed closer. The usually blustery moor was hushed, so quiet and still that not even a meadow lark dared to break the silence that surrounded them. The she-wolf spiked her fur and kept her head low, her pace quickening as well as the beat of her heart. Though she did not hear the sound of any wolf, nor did she catch any whiff with her nose, there was still something unusual about the scene around her, if only she could just figure out what...
Slowing down, Lark came to a halt, ears perked and eyes scanning the horizon. "It has to be just my mind playing tricks on me. There's nowhere for anyone to hide out here anyways.." A part of her wanted to return back to the safety of the camp and leave this adventure for another day, yet something still pressed her on. Deciding against her better judgement to go back, the fay started forward once again. In the tense atmosphere, the she-wolf could have sworn she heard voices. They sounded strange, as if they were not quite real, yet they were definitely there. Too late she had noticed the danger, and too late she had realized the fate that would befall her.

He was distracted from his dastardly plans and thoughts when Thief and Assassin showed up, Thief briefly hovered over the drop off and giggled, the soft girlish sound making his amber eyes twinkle sadistically. However he reined himself in, he needed Thief and Assassin, so he would keep his paws to himself for now, she soon lost interest in her entertainment and eagerly asked what she’d be stealing. A savage smirk curled onto his features, “Perhaps, it all depends on who will come this way” He wouldn’t go into the details of how he’d been planning this for quite some time. Turning his ears towards the distance as the wind generously brought a scent to him a wicked toothy grin replaced the smirk. “Lives and a leg Thief, you’ll have fun today” the burly white body became mist and swept itself over the land to hover next to the female and to whisper into her ear with a wicked sadistic glee “Well well Larkstar, we meet again” the brute murmured into the leaders ear unable to help the dark chuckle. It was less than a moment later that he revealed himself and became corporeal, pouncing onto her and using surprise to pin her by her shoulders to the ground.

Now his first order of business, as part of the plan was to make her unable to fight back, stepping off of her and grabbing her front right leg, Eclipsestar viciously wrenched it out of its socket ruining her ability to get away from him. Ignoring any attempts to injure him, his next move was to bowl her over with his powerful form and grab her jaw. It was simple to apply pressure and shake his head, essentially destroying any hope she had of biting him not that It’d do much, once he heard several sickening noises from the she-wolfs jaw he dropped her. It was now that a subtle change came over the blood encrusted once leader, moving to stand over he dug his teeth into her scruff holding her still with his weight. In the ruthless sadistic moments that followed he lost himself to a haze where he did but did not think, it was several long minutes later when he released her and stood up once more the clinical thought out plan reappearing in his mind that chased out the brutal animalistic glint that had entered his amber eyes during his haze.

From what he’d watched of her, Larkstar only had eight lives left, he had no real intention to have Thief steal all of her remaining lives, after all it’d be much more fun to make her suffer and wish for death then damn her to the forest just yet. Circling her and flicking his tail towards her metal leg, he spoke “Thief I don’t suppose you’d be interested in acquiring that piece of hardware?” Unlike his brazen attack on Follyfoot, this current endeavour had been painstakingly planned allowing him to be cold, cruel and calculating. He continued to circle the female, thoroughly enjoying her screams as Thief did her work, finally with a sickening sound of metal breaking bone as it was forcefully removed he was free to start the real torture of the female. He’d hurt and destroy her until she begged for death, which would be when he’d kill her and thief would steal a life, she’d be forced to become an elder after this, the very role that was looked down upon by the clan. Taking her dislocated front leg, the male started dragging her over the harsh stone to the edge of the plateau, manoeuvring it so half of the limb was off the edge and the other half was resting against the stony ground, Eclipsestar used his weight on the leg that had no supporting rock underneath it and snapped it loudly.

Dragging her once again by the now useless limb, he tossed her a fair way and pounced, tearing at where her metal leg had been taken away, ripping meat off the bone and forcibly shoving it down the females throat and holding her mangled jaw shut until she swallowed. It wasn’t long after that when she finally gave in, begging him to end it, a quick bite to the base of her head where the spine connected ended her suffering. Letting thief come close again, he watched as the wounds healed although the worst of the damage he’d done to her jaw and leg were not able to be repaired fully. Easily mangling both leg and jaw again he grinned savagely allowing the dangerous blind haze to descend over him once again, stepping over her and holding her down until the haze subsided and he was finished once more he moved off of her and licked his chops. “You’ve got six more lives to loose little tidbit, you’re going to endure pain you never thought possible” he lunged forward and dug his teeth into her side, chewing a hole through her skin to start pulling out organs. This torture only lasted a few moments before she died, and he stuffed them back home so she could heal and come to play again.

On and on it went, each time she was revived he’d pin her, grab her by the scruff and give into the blind haze, one life she lost by him baring her ribs for all to see and chewed on the stump of a leg until she finally gave in and died, he had time to choose what he’d do to her next. This turned out to be him removing all the fur and flesh over the top of her head leaving it bare white bone, this of course didn’t kill her, so he tortured her mentally by raking his fangs over her bare skull again and again until the bone had marks form his teeth all over it. When she finally asked him to end it, he again gave her the quick bite to the base of her head, as per the rule when she came around he pinned her, scruffed her and allowed the twisted sadistic nature take control. Once his mind had returned to where it sought to maim and torture, he mentally counted over the lives, three lives were left for him to have as much fun as he could with the tidbit. Perhaps after this he’d go visit the dog he’d assaulted, drive her into insanity, chuckling richly at the idea that came to mind he smirked down at her. “Your lives have been stolen and sent to the dark forest, when you finally die, that is where you’ll end up, and I’ll be waiting for you there with a big grin” nuzzling her and taking deep satisfaction with how she flinched from him he moved onto the last three lives thoroughly enjoying himself.

Deciding to go for brute force over finesse he grabbed her by her front mutilated leg and threw her over the cliff smirking at the sickening whack her body made as it hit the jagged stony ground beneath. Glancing at the assassin, he nodded sensing that the creature wanted to have a kill as well, following her down the cliff he watched without much interest as a quick death was awarded to the tortured female. By the time Larkstar came around he had already pinned her and lost himself to the haze, his teeth digging deep into her scruff and piercing the skin, once finished he lazily grabbed the front paw of her leg and dragged her back up the cliff to rebreak her leg and jaw. A thought came to him that made a sickening grin twist up his muzzle, he began dragging the leader back to camp, ignoring the fact that she lost another life on the way. Her brother would want to see him kill her and reinjure her, oh how It’d drive the male insane, and if attacked well he would easily defeat him and had the perfect words that he wanted to whisper into the brutes ear.

(ooc: this is for both thief and assassin - bro was too lazy to try and make his own post xD)

Cackling at the idea of stealing a leg as well as lives, the lean little wolf hovered around their prey, nipping at the female’s legs while Eclipsestar spoke to her and pinned her. She ignored what he was doing to disable any chance of escape, too busy sniffing out the strange metal leg, working out how it was attached, and how she could remove it. She did so love stealing things, and stealing a leg was almost as good as stealing a life. “Larkstar, Larkstar.” Her soft voice twined around the brown female, quiet and almost gentle. In contrast to Eclipsestar’s sadistic words, hers were more welcoming, offering a gentle ear to talk to and spill her thoughts. “A pity you came here alone, darling.” She’d been listening to Atrel recently, learning a few of his ways, and she used them now, eager to see what the result would be. “Didn’t anyone offer to come with you? To protect you.” Her mismatched eyes gleamed, and she took a few steps back, letting the male have his way with the female like all males liked to do.
Perking up at the words addressed to her, the youngster bounded forward again, taking hold of the metal leg and tugging on it experimentally. Finding that it was firmly attached, she let go for a moment and looked over at her sister, who was patiently sitting and keeping watch, well aware that the pair would need some sort of warning if they had company. “Come play tug of war with me, sister dear. It’s attached far too firmly.” Ignoring Eclipsestar as he circled around them, the twins got to work playing with the metal leg, apparently not realising that it was firmly attached to bone. It took them a while, but eventually Thief was victorious, breaking bone in her strong jaws to prance away with the piece of metal in her mouth. Holding it proudly, she teased her sister with it, dropping into a few playbows to try and get her to play more. The assassin took her up on the offer, tugging at the metal leg, their fangs drawing screeches and bloodchilling noises into the air to further torture the female they’d stolen it from.
Keeping an eye, and a bit of an ear, on what Eclipsestar was doing, she dropped the leg promptly when she realised that the leader was close to losing the first life. Letting her shape form a mist, she hovered over them, darting through the shewolf’s body to gather the precious life and squirrel it away with glee. This was why she loved being in the Dark Forest, she could steal lives to her heart’s content, and never have to worry about dying herself. Reappearing on the ground again, she watched the leader be regenerated, her eyes glinting in pleasure at the feast in front of her. This was almost as good as Nightstar’s death, and how many of the Dark Forest wolves could boast having nearly two whole leaders in their kills. The second life was more boring, more quick than the previous one, but she still collected it, trusting her sister to keep watch over her new toy while she dealt with this lovely bit of prey.
Like before, she moved away as Eclipsestar had his way with the female, wrinkling her nose a little. She was so glad she hadn’t had pups, it looked to be thoroughly uncomfortable, though she was fully aware that Eclipsestar liked making it hurt. Growing a little bored as he bared the female’s ribs, she got back to her game of nipping at the female’s legs and feet, causing tiny scrapes and cuts that stung and irritated rather than hurt like Eclipsestar’s attacks were doing. Stealing the third life and stashing that away, the little wolf lingered closer at the mental torture, watching and larning for her next piece of prey that she and her sister took down.
Cackling softly at the shewolf’s pathetic begs and pleas for it to end, the quiet noise wove through Larkstar’s mind, settling deep within her mind to return at the most unfortunate moments, perhaps in her dreams, perhaps when she was alone and no one could save her. Circling impatiently as Eclipsestar yet again had his fun, she snarled softly, wanting him to hurry up. She wanted her lives, she had four already, surely there were more to come. Darting after the wolf as she was flung over the cliff, the white wolf moved into her misty state, aware of her sister coming after her. At last, the pair could do what they did best. Between the both of them, they drew out this life. Though her sister killed swiftly, that didn’t mean the thief couldn’t drag out her stealing, gently coaxing the life from the leader’s veins and digging her teeth into it once she had it. Cackling yet again at her prize, she shelved it away safely and both youngsters followed Eclipsestar as he dragged their broken, battered prey back up the cliff.
Eager to take the last couple of lives, the thief picked up the metal leg proudly, prancing in front of her sister as they went with him. The black female brought up the rear, killing Larkstar as she died on the way back to the camp and allowing her younger sister to gain yet another life in the Dark Forest.

[Sorry for the late response!]

"Well Well Larkstar, we meet again."

There was no time, there was no warning. As soon as the words fell upon her ears, there was a crushing weight that landed on top of her, sending the she-wolf sprawling. "Wha-wha.." There was a moment of shock followed by an intense amount of pain as powerful jaws snapped down on her front paw. The sickening sound of bones crunching could be heard, and the fay let out a scream, the agony almost unbearable. The white male  shook his head violently, tearing the limb from it's socket and sending more waves of pain up her shoulder. Out of instinct, the she-wolf attacked in retaliation, yet was unable to get to his underside where she could actually do real damage. Instead, her fangs closed in on scruff, and she swung her head rapidly from side to side, trying to rid of her opponent using any means necessary.  The large male seemed unfazed, and quickly used his size as an advantage to bowl her over, the fay left with tufts of fur and flesh as she was torn from her grip. Choking out a gasp, Larkstar wildly made an attempt to get to her paws to flee, yet the brute had already grabbed her muzzle. There was another sickening crunch of bone and the fay could do nothing as her last bit of defense was taken away from her.
The next few minutes would become the worse experience of her life. Another pair of dark forest wolves had approached, and one with a sweet voice taunted her gently.
“A pity you came here alone, darling.Didn’t anyone offer to come with you? To protect you.”
"Wren..."
She was defeated, yet knew well that the dark forest wolves had no intention of letting her die yet. No, they had something more sinister in mind for her, becoming apparent with what the larger male did next. Lark tried to fight back, yet her muzzle would not work, and her legs failed her. Blood pooled and dripped from her mouth, running down her fur. She could not attack nor cry for help.
When he had stepped away, the she-wolf made one last struggle to escape, yet the pain in her paw made her attempt useless. Letting out a gasp that could barely depart from her mouth, she once again fell to the ground. But the fire had not yet died inside the she-wolf, and with every ounce of strength she had left turned to face her attacker. "I-I..ll... get you.. for this..." Her words came out slurred and broken from her crushed jaw, yet the hate in her gaze was completely clear, and her eyes burned like two coals.
There was a moment of hesitation from the wolves around her. Finally, the leader of the trio suggested to one of the others to take off her metal leg. If having her front paw broken was painful, having her back one torn off was completely unbearable. With her mouth stuck in a half-closed position, bloodcurdling shrieks escaped from her throat as the limb was torn from the bone. The warm liquid originating from her crippled jaw continued to fill her mouth and soak the dirt beneath her. The large male threw her across the moor near the cliff edge and began to tear flesh from where her back paw had been only moments before. Warm meat was shoved down her throat, and the fay couldn't help but let out a pained gasp, torment and terror clear on her face. Despite her broken muzzle, whines escaped her and that's when the male finally put an end to her suffering. The darkness that took hold of her was welcoming, even if it only felt like a few seconds.

All too soon, Larkstar had awakened again, still feeling weak from her loss of life. But there was no time to recover, as her opponent was back again, quickly disabling her from the start.
"You’ve got six more lives to loose little tidbit, you’re going to endure pain you never thought possible."
With that, the male tore at her side and ripped out her organs. The she-wolf let out another howl of pain until she had bled to her death, the moments of darkness feeling much more sweet then anything she had felt before. But there were still five of her lives left.
On her fourth life the male ripped at her flesh, exposing her rib cage as she bled out once more. And that's where the she-wolf finally lost touch with reality, the pain too unbearable for her mind to comprehend.

Time had lost its meaning. The entire world had lost its meaning. From the torture that had been done to her already, Lark's mind and sense of understanding had fled her, leaving her oblivious and numb to everything. Nothing made sense and as the moments ticked on, she could only realize fractions of what was happening around her. Yet amongst the horror and chaos that unfolded, small tidbits of information became clear in her mind. Someone was screaming. A very long drawn out howl of agony, that the she-wolf could hardly realize was her own. "Sounds like someone is in trouble..." The scent of blood also laced the air, and Lark could see the substance stain the moor beneath her. "There must be a battle going on...there's so much blood..." The torture continued, yet each time she would die and awake again, the she-wolf retreated farther and farther back into the crevice of her mind, leaving her sense of time and reason completely distorted. "Hmm, I wonder if Sunclan is causing trouble again? Brokenstar isn't going to be happy about this..." With each passing infliction of pain, Larkstar felt herself falling back into her memories, trying to make sense of the world around her through the visions of the past.
"My back leg hurts, it must the two-legs again..."
"My muzzle is in pain, I wonder if their going to replace that next..."
"Grizzlypaw has a metal face, maybe I'll be like him..."
"What would Wrenpup think if my face got turned to metal? Would he think its horrible...?"
"They're going to replace my front paw too..."

On and on it went until Larkstar finally lost consciousness, her entire world completely shattered and torn to pieces. In her final moments of wakefulness she perceived a ginger-and-white she-wolf bending over her, tenderly trying to heal Lark's wounds. The fay felt comforting, and with that Larkstar finally gave way into deep sleep.
