She’d picked a clearing that wasn’t too far a walk from the dire pond which was where she wanted to start out with some searching, identifying and then correctly harvesting the herbs, it was critical that plants were harvested correctly or it could ruin the plant and damage the number of herbs they could get off of it. She’d been thinking things through to herself when she heard the familiar quiet voice that had an air of excitement, offering her a smile quite pleased that the grey she-wolf appeared so eager to begin. “Good Morning Mistypaw” speaking warmly making it quite clear that she out of everyone in the clan was very happy she was there, there had been some (Peachpaw) who hadn’t been that keen on another wolf and another mouth joining the clan right on leaf fall but she’d vetoed everybody else's opinion. She was the medicine wolf and she had the right to pick out who she thought would be a suitable apprentice, “For now I want us to focus on finding herbs, identifying them and then how to collect them correctly. Once we have some we’ll start practicing how to work on broken bones” broken bones had been one of the first things she’d learned, they lived in the mountains where there were avalanches, rockfalls and sharp cliffs broken bones were likely going to be one of the most common injuries and so that was were she aimed to start. Standing up and shaking her fur out aiming to rid herself of the cold from the previous nights frost and moved off of the rock heading for the pond “We’re lucky, we have such a range of territory up here in the mountains we are able to find most herbs we need here” when they were in need of catmint there was the abandoned town that a dog pack ran, most of the time when they found out all she wanted was a plant they were happy to let her go collect it as long as she had an escort to make sure she didn’t try anything funny. Once they were at the pond she cast her eyes over it thoughtfully, deciding that they’d go for reeds first, they were the easiest, and were closely tied into what she was going to be teaching Mistypaw first and so it made sense.
